The film stars Jackie Shroff, Shahrukh Khan, Anu Agarwal, Paresh Rawal, Pooja Ruparel, Deven Verma and Nagma in pivotal roles. The movie was inspired from the 1982 English movie Annie that starred Aileen Marie Quinn and Albert Finney, which in turn is based upon the 1924 comic strip Little Orphan Annie by Harold Gray.
Synopsis
Ashok Bansal (Jackie Shroff) is a strict industrialist, inspired by the British 'stiff upper lip'. Ashok starts hating poor people & starts working hard to become rich. In the process of acquiring wealth, he neglects his family consisting of his younger brother Anil (Shahrukh Khan) and sister Suneeta (Nivedita Saraf). He gets Suneeta married to a man who turns out to be a golddigger although she is in love with Ashok's manager (Vivek Vaswani). Anil goes against his brother’s highhanded ways and marries Kavita (Nagma), opting to leave the house.Actors

Durga Singh (Raakhee) is a poor woman raising her two beloved sons Karan (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Shahrukh Khan). Her sons give her bangles, which she says she shall give to the women they marry. Later, when the Munim of an aging Thakur comes to talk to Durga, Karan and Arjun learn that their father is dead. Aarti Verma (Rekha) is a widow with two children. She is an unattractive woman with a large birthmark on her face. Aarti's husband died in a car accident under mysterious circumstances, and her father (Saeed Jaffrey) is one of the richest and most famous businessmen in the city. However, when Aarti's father is murdered by his worker Hiralal (Kader Khan), Aarti's world is completely destroyed. She does not find any sense for her life, except bringing up her children. Scientist Rohit Mehra lives with his son Krishna "Krrish" Mehra (both played by Hrithik Roshan) in Mumbai. Krishna is married to Priya (Priyanka Chopra) who works as a journalist for Aaj Tak. Rohit works in a research institute for the Indian government and Krishna, while moon lighting as the superhero Krrish, is regularly fired from various day jobs due to lack of attendance. Rohit is researching on a device that will bring life to dead tissues by the use of solar energy. Despite several attempts, he fails to complete the experiment due to the high intensity of sun rays. On a usual day, Krishna loses his job from the security wing of a company when he hears news about an aeroplane whose front tyres are stuck due to some malfunctioning which creates high risk, even if landed, it may explode and so will the passengers inside. Krishna immediately changes himself to Krrish and saves the plane from accident by holding the component to make tyres free to roam.

A scientist named Dr. Sanjay Mehra (director Rakesh Roshan) creates a computer program from which he sends variations of the syllable om into space, hoping to attract the attention of extraterrestrial life. When he believes he has finally gotten a response, the scientific community mocks him. While driving home, an alien spacecraft appears overhead. Dr. Mehra veers off the road, causing the car to hit a stone, flip over, and explode. Dr. Mehra dies, but his wife survives the wreck and returns home to India. When their son Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) is born, he is mentally disabled. His mother raises him in the town of Kasauli, where he grows up to be a man of limited intellect and childish personality, but with a loving and emotional heart. Rohit has a number of much younger friends: loyal children who play with him.
