It is the third Christmas-themed VeggieTales episode special after The Toy That Saved Christmas and The Star of Christmas. Instead of "Silly Songs With Larry", we're introduced to a new "Helpful Humanitarian Songs with Mr. Lunt," called "Donuts For Benny." He sings about giving donuts to a mangy mutt named Benny. The "Silly Song" segment with Mr. Lunt first appeared in Madame Blueberry with "His Cheeseburger". He appears in Bob's story as Octavius. It's the first video since "An Easter Carol" to not have the "VeggieTales Theme Song", since this is a Christmas video. Despite the "VeggieTales Theme Song" not being found on this video, there's still a Silly Song on this video.
Synopsis
Bob, Larry and the other veggies find out that Laura's Dad might be out of a job and that her stocking will be empty. While Larry thinks a letter to the North Pole should fix the problem, Bob knows what will really help... and tells the story of a little boy named Nicholas who made a discovery in Bethlehem that changed Christmas forever. The story starts off with Laura's dad's truck breaking down, and the mechanic Gustav will only fix it for double the normal price. Then everyone sings about Christmas presents and Bob asks Junior Asparagus what Christmas is about, and Larry points to the nativity set. Junior Asparagus asks Bob what Santa has to do with Jesus, and Bob starts telling the story of Saint Nicholas. Nick is at church and afterwards, he and his dad go fishing. While they are there, they see a historical counterpart Gustav firing a man who has no food, and Nick's dad gives him of the fish they caught. That night, Nick's parents go to help a sick person, but because of a plague affecting the village, they too get sick and die. Distraught and helpless to assist his neighbors, Nick sails to Bethlehem, where he hears about Jesus, and goes back to Greece to live out his parents' legacy. While there, he gives coins to three girls to pay the fine, because Gustav had become mayor and made a rule against giving people free gifts, and they had broken this rule. Then Bob ends the story when the girls get the coins, and the entire town gives money to help fix Laura's dad's truck, and Gustav even has a change of heart, finishing the deliveries himself, so Laura and her family can have a merry Christmas. The town surprises them in secret with a decorated tree at their house, and leave content that they have spread Christmas cheer.Actors

The episode is set in London in 1882. It begins with Cavis Appythart and Millward Phelps—jingle writers who decide to make their big break into musical theatre. While Millward is content to see their work featured on billboards and in newspapers, Cavis believes they can make a difference in crime-ridden London by staging a grand musical that will move the citizens to greater expressions of love. Their opportunity arises when Millward's Uncle Nezzer grants them the use of his theater on Christmas Eve. They plan the huge production of a new musical called "The Princess and the Plumber". Unfortunately, the script is not yet complete, and the premiere is only three days away.

The title character is businesswoman Elizabeth "Ebbie" Scrooge, played by Lucci. Ebbie has never appreciated Christmas, and has been rotten to the holidays. She doesn't give to the needy, doesn't care about her employees at Dobson's (the store she owns), and most of all, she works on Christmas. One night, the ghost of her partner, Jake Marley (counterpart to Dickens' Jacob Marley character, played here by Jeffrey DeMunn), haunts her. She is soon brought back to a deserted Dobson's, where the Ghosts of Christmas Past (Jennifer Clement and Nicole Parker) show her the Christmases she has celebrated. They take her to a very significant Christmas when her sister Francine (Molly Parker) died after nearly miscarrying her niece due to toxemia of pregnancy (Ebbie believes that Francine would have survived had Ebbie not left her alone to attend a party); it is also the Christmas she met her soon-to-be boyfriend Paul (Ron Lea). They show her many other Christmases, including another grim one when Paul leaves her when she chooses to care more about her job than about them as a couple, when she and Marley take over Dobson's, and finally, the previous year, when Jake Marley died.

The story revolves around a Basque Roman Catholic priest dedicated to committing as many sins as possible (Angulo), a death metal salesman from Carabanchel (Segura), and the Italian host of a TV show on the occult (De Razza). By committing multiple sins, the priest hopes to sell his soul, so that he can be at the birth of the Antichrist and kill it before it can destroy the world. The priest and the death metal salesmen kidnap the host, so he can help them in summoning the devil. The ritual requires the blood of a virgin and while on his quest to get it, the priest accidentally kills the salesmen's mother and close friend. During the ritual, in which the main characters go on an "acid trip", the devil manifests and, not being fooled by the priests actions, he does not reveal the location of the Antichrist. The trio eventually track down the birthplace of the Antichrist. The salesman is killed by the Antichrist and the devil's minions attack and badly burn the host, but the priest is able to kill them and the Antichrist. After the events, the priest and the host become homeless drifters.

At Christmas time, Bill Firpo (Nicolas Cage), a straight-laced New York restaurant manager, gets an unpleasant Christmas gift. His brothers Dave (Jon Lovitz) and Alvin (Dana Carvey) are paroled early due to overcrowding and placed in Bill's custody. Dave and Alvin ask their brother to take them to Paradise, Pennsylvania to do a favor for a fellow inmate of theirs. Bill refuses because one, his brothers are not allowed out of New York State and two, he knows Dave's pathological tendencies. He only agrees after getting tied to a robbery their brothers made via his dropped wallet. When they discover Paradise's bank is light on security, Bill feels the urge to rob it if he had a gun. Fortunately, there are guns in the Infiniti sedan Dave and Alvin borrowed. With Alvin driving a stolen decrepit car, Bill and Dave storm the bank. The wife of the bank's president (Angela Paton) tells them that the bank safe door is locked and the president, Mr. Clifford Anderson (Donald Moffat), who has the key, is having lunch in the restaurant nearby. While Dave stays in the bank doing yoga breathing with the hostages, Alvin and Bill charge into the restaurant and call in a robbery. They order all customers to come with Bill to the bank so that no one calls the police when they go. Mr. Anderson opens the safe's door and Bill checks for motion sensors via a perfume spray. He steps over the sensors, gets the money, but while getting out of the safe, he touches the sensors via one of the money bags. Bill and Dave rush out of the bank and get away with their crime, stealing $275,000.

In a charming Connecticut village, Lloyd and Caroline Chasseur (Kevin Spacey and Judy Davis) are in marriage counseling on Christmas Eve; the session doesn't go well and their problems become evident.
