Suren Suror Putek (Assamese: চুৰেণ চোৰৰ পুতেক) is an Assamese language commercial movie directed by Chandra Mudoi. The title role is played by Jatin Bora. This is the first Assamese film to highlight the art of magic and the talented magicians of the state.
Synopsis
The film revolves around the escapades of Soni (Jatin Bora), the son of a thief named Suren. Realising that he will always be looked down upon as his father's son, the youth takes to magic in a bid to achieve success and earn respect.Actors

The film opens in the ruins of Kali Pahari (Black Hills, a decrepit complex of caves), and introduces the vampire Neola. Neola, a Dracula-like vampire, sleeps in a coffin by day, and transforms into a bat at night to hunt humans from the neighbouring villages. He craves a steady supply of human blood, and a supply of fresh young women (so he may seduce them and spread his evil seed). Neola is assisted by a ragtag bunch of servants who lure innocent humans (mostly women) to Kali Pahari so Neola may easily prey on them. His servants include Mahua (a witch-woman), Mahaguru (an evil priest), a tantrik (evil wizard) and various other henchmen that provide muscle for his evil deeds.

Baandhon is set mostly in Guwahati, before the climax it shifts to Mumbai. It tells the story of 73 years old couple – Dandeswar (Bishnu Kharghoria) and Hkawni (Bina Patangia), who live outskirts of Guwahati, grudgingly nudging each other for a divorce. They approach one of their ex-tenants, now a family friend, a successful local lawyer Jatin (Jatin Bora) to file the divorce petition. While Jatin is aware that this is just a passing phase and the couple will soon patch up. He advises the couple to live separately in the two different bedrooms of their bungalow. The couple had lost their only son and daughter-in-law in an accident some years ago and their grandson, Pona, is the only living kin. He is currently studying in IIT Bombay. However, things take an unprecedented turn when Pona disconnects a call from Dandeswar in the middle of a conversation. The subsequent tries to contact him fails. It all took place at the same time with the 26/11 2008 terror attack. The couple arrives in Mumbai in search of their missing grandson.

The story is set in 1962, the time of Sino-India war. It revolves around a widowed teacher named Ritu who is transferred to Koronga, a small Assamese village. The school here was destroyed by fire ten years earlier. Ritu takes on the challenge of rebuilding the school and starts campaigning among the villager. Ritu manages to build a school. It starts functioning under a large village-tree. Then comes a supposedly 'son of the soil' who, having lost his job there, wants to take over the school.
