The Day the Sun Turned Cold (Chinese: 天国逆子, Tian guo ni zi) is a 1994 Hong Kong drama film directed by Yim Ho. The film was selected as the Hong Kong entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 67th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Synopsis

Un jeune homme retourne dans son village natal dans le Nord de la Chine où il indique à la police qu’il soupçonne sa mère d’avoir empoisonné son père il y a dix ans. Des flashbacks révêleront que le fils adorait sa maman, alors qu’il dédaignait son papa...
