Dror Moreh a décidé de réaliser ce film après avoir mesuré l'importance décisive du Shabak (Shin Beth) sur la scène politique israélienne depuis quarante ans. Ces six directeurs à la retraite de la sécurité israélienne évoquent leurs victoires et les échecs passés sans nostalgie. Très critiques vis-à-vis des politiques menées par leurs gouvernements (à l'exception de celui d'Yitzhak Rabin), ils défendent tous un changement radical de politique en Israël : la recherche de la paix et la reconnaissance au plus tôt de l’État palestinien.

The film opens with ex-militants describing the torture they underwent when captured by the army. A Hindu describes his sentiment on being a part of the minority in the region at the height of militancy, when his grandfather was shot dead by militants. A politician and her husband describe the horror of being kidnapped and in captivity for over a month – and despite that, forming a human bond with the militants, and helping them escape when the army closed in on them. One understands from this section that militancy was not binary in nature. It was a dynamic and complex, resulting from various socio-political, economic and religious issues.

The Invisible War features interviews with veterans from multiple branches of the United States Armed Forces who recount the events surrounding their assaults. Their stories show many common themes, such as the lack of recourse to an impartial justice system, reprisals against survivors instead of against perpetrators, the absence of adequate emotional and physical care for survivors, the unhindered advancement of perpetrators' careers, and the forced expulsion of survivors from service.

Joseph Kony est responsable de crimes d'enlèvements d'enfants pour en faire des soldats, de réduction d'enfants à l'esclavage ainsi que l'esclavage sexuel pour les jeunes filles, de nombreux massacres civils, d'exactions et de nombreuses destructions et pillages réalisés par les troupes de chocs. Ce criminel est resté dans le silence pendant une vingtaine d'années à commettre ses crimes sans en payer les conséquences.

The List is a modern-day Oskar Schindler story that focuses on Kirk W. The film focuses on the perpetrators of the Indonesian killings of 1965–66 in the present day; ostensibly towards the communist community where almost a million people were killed. When Suharto overthrew Sukarno, the President of Indonesia, following the failed coup of the 30 September Movement in 1965, the gangsters Anwar Congo and Adi Zulkadry in Medan (North Sumatra) were promoted from selling black market movie theatre tickets to leading the most powerful death squad in North Sumatra. They also extorted money from ethnic Chinese as the price for keeping their lives. Anwar is said to have personally killed 1,000 people.
