Andrew Espiritu (born July 30, 1967), better known as Andrew E., is a Filipino rapper, record producer and actor. He is best known throughout the Philippines for his 1990 debut hit single "Humanap Ka Ng Panget" (Look For Someone Ugly). Espiritu won a 'Rap Album of the Year' award for his latest album Clubzilla at the 2010 PMPC Star Awards for Music.

Biography

Espiritu saw his first glimpse of showbiz as a DJ in a popular club, Euphoria and was discovered by Guitarman Ramon "RJ" Jacinto in 1991. His first TV appearance was on That's Entertainment, a variety show hosted by German Moreno on GMA-7. He began his showbiz career in December 1990 when he released his debut single "Humanap Ka Ng Panget".

Andrew’s career branched out as he began to star in comedy films based on his songs.

In mid 1995, Andrew E. founded an independent rap label named Dongalo Wreckords for the purpose of discovering and producing new rap talents, one of them being the rap group Salbakuta, with their debut single "S2upid Luv" becoming a best-seller and spawning a film starring Andrew E.

Espiritu spent some time in Japan in the late 1990s, performing in clubs and eventually releasing a CD single with 2 rap songs in Japanese about the misadventures of a tourist in Tokyo.

In 2010, he was one of the judges in ABS-CBN's noontime variety/talent show Showtime.

He has notably collaborated with Sharon Cuneta, Willie Revillame, Joey de Leon, Regine Velasquez, Francis M., Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Carlos Agassi, Death Threat, Salbakuta, DJs such as DJ Coki of Wil Time Big Time, DJ MOD of Showtime and DJ Belal of New York, and actresses such as Maricel Soriano, Ana Roces, Nanette Medved, Charlene Gonzalez, Vina Morales, Sheryl Cruz, Gelli de Belen, Alice Dixson, Amanda Page, Rufa Mae Quinto, Donita Rose and Rica Peralejo.

Copper Guerrero (Andrew E.) is a police man who just arrests a group of cattle rustlers and teams up with Brando del Valle (Robin Padilla) who was insulted by their Major due to his stupidity. Brando and Cooper tries to stop some thugs leading to a car chase resulting the thug's car crashes into a gas station destroying it. Cooper was kidnapped along with Jessica (Charlene Gonzales) and her friends by a group of kidnappers led by their leader (Mat Ranillo III). Cooper was tortured by their leader. Brando arrives to rescue him who is helped by a kidnapper who defects and leads them to Jessica in the airport hangar where she is been held by the kidnappers. They defeat the kidnappers and rescues Jessica and her friends while Brando kills the leader who tries to escape on a plane. One of the defeated kidnappers still alive and badly injures Jing-Jing (Angelu De Leon) who notices this and jumps on Brando protecting from the gunshot and Brando throws his army knife at the still alive kidnapper and Cooper kills it. They mourn Jing-Jing as the Major and his police forces arrives who congratulate Brando but he respectfully rejected his promotion and orders a suspension from his position and he kindly accepts his offer and Brando hands him his badge. The defected kidnapper leaves on a motorcycle turning out that he was also a police officer who was sent by the Major to help him on the mission. Some time later Brando and Cooper had a romance with Jessica and her friend in the train.

Corazon (Sharon Cuneta) and Clark (Andrew E.) have an adventure throughout Metro Manila running away from kidnappers led by Brando (Bong Alvarez). They escape the kidnappers after a confrontation with Brando in a Jollibee restaurant while eating on a pick up truck to Clark's house where his cousin Bugoy (Smokey Manaloto) and Neneng (Maybelline dela Cruz) live. However the kidnappers locate them when they follow Bugoy who was riding the pick up truck which they recognized while Bugoy was in a gas station refueling the pick up truck to Clark's house causing Clark and Corazon to escape back to Metro Manila to get help leaving Bugoy and Neneng behind unharmed. When they reach the attorney's (Charito Solis) house with help from Clark's boss Mr. Calderon (Jon Achaval) they defeat the kidnappers and Elias (Andy Poe) who is behind the kidnapping attempt on Corazon is arrested by his wife Marga (Gloria Sevilla) who discovered his treachery and she explains to Corazon that her husband is behind on attempt so he wants the money to belong to her. In the end, they became rich.

The story focuses on the three brothers Andrew E., Jimmy Santos, and Keempee de Leon.
