Après avoir travaillé au théâtre de revue aux côtés d'Ugo Tognazzi, Elvy Lissiak récite au théâtre aux côtés de Gassman dans Peer Gynt (1950) et Detective Story (1951), sous la direction de Luigi Squarzina.
En 1952, elle rompt d'avec Vittorio Gassman, épouse l'acteur Franco Castellani et quitte progressivement la scène au début des années 1960.

Elvy Lissiak est née à Trieste en 1929. En 1949 elle est remarquée par le réalisateur Luciano Emmer qui la choisit pour interpréter le rôle de Luciana dans Dimanche d'août. Ce rôle lui ouvre la porte dans le cinéma et lui permet de tourner deux films d'aventure L'Épervier du Nil et Le Prince pirate aux côtés de Vittorio Gassman, qui devient son compagnon.Après avoir travaillé au théâtre de revue aux côtés d'Ugo Tognazzi, Elvy Lissiak récite au théâtre aux côtés de Gassman dans Peer Gynt (1950) et Detective Story (1951), sous la direction de Luigi Squarzina.
En 1952, elle rompt d'avec Vittorio Gassman, épouse l'acteur Franco Castellani et quitte progressivement la scène au début des années 1960.

In Italy, during 1943, two men collide during the bombing of the Nazis and American allies. Antonio is a thief who disguises himself as a priest for the robberies at the stations; Vittorio Cotono is a marshal upright who's chasing Antonio, and that in the end, to a misunderstanding, he is forced to do so by Marshal dress. Antonio is excited about the new appointment, and Vittorio meanwhile disguises himself as a priest. In fact the two are persecuted by the Nazis and fascists because they're hiding a Jew woman and an American who is planning the Allied landing.

L'avocat Martini recherche sa fille qui ne donne signe de vie. Irène, une des amies de sa fille, l'accompagne. Martini découvre ainsi un monde qui lui est totalement inconnu composé de jeunes voyous sans principes ni valeurs. Irène - elle aussi très jeune - tente de séduire le père de son amie et y parvient. Entretemps il découvre que sa fille s'est échappée avec un homme mur et marié qu'elle a ensuite quitté pour rejoindre un jeune de son âge au chômage. Déçu et convaincu de ne pas connaître vraiment sa fille et dans l'incapacité de communiquer avec elle, l'avocat Martine quitte finalement Irène et retourne seul chez lui.

In 1950 in Australia Aunt Agatha writes to Toto, informing him not to send him in Italy even a penny until he is married. Toto is in fact a great bachelor who dabbles in sculpture and live in luxury with the money of her aunt. Now Toto is threatened and forced to be with a woman just because Aunt would soon come to Rome to meet the new couple. Thanks to a friend (Aroldo Tieri) Toto is helped but the women that gives him are horrible or are already ammogliate, which causes many misunderstandings. En 1950, l'énergique et déterminé tante Agata, qui vit en Australie, fatiguée de la vie de Bohème que conduit son neveu Totò, sculpteur d'avant-garde à Rome, essaye d'y remédier en le faisant épouser sa pupille Adelina. Pour cela, elle envoie une photo de la jeune fille dans une lettre dans laquelle elle informe Totò de sa décision et où elle annonce qu'elles vont lui rendre visite prochainement. Mais, par erreur, la photo envoyée est celle de la très laide femme de chambre d'Agata : ainsi Totò est confronté au choix entre se marier contre sa volonté ou renoncer à la rente de la tante.
