Giles Daoust (né le 17 octobre 1979 à Uccle) est un scénariste, réalisateur et producteur belge de cinéma autodidacte.
Il est le fils de Jean-Claude Daoust, PDG de l'entreprise Daoust Intérim et président de la Fédération des entreprises de Belgique. Après des études à l'Institut Solvay de l'Université libre de Bruxelles dans le but d'obtenir le grade d'ingénieur commercial, Giles Daoust crée une entreprise de production en 2003, Title films avec Alain Berliner et Serge Peffer. En 2004, il réalise son premier long métrage Last Night on Earth. En mai 2006, sort son film The Room.

Kate is a workaholic with a failing relationship with her boyfriend. One night after falling asleep she dreams of one of her friends being thrown from a building by an unseen assailant. The police come to her the next day and reveal to her that her friend has, in fact, died. Kate, for a moment begins to wonder if she is responsible. She then realizes that it was not she who killed her friend, but her friend's double. One by one Kate's friends are hunted downed and killed with strange 'artifacts' removed from their bodies by their attackers. Kate then teams up with her boyfriend in hopes that they can escape the same fate.

Pendant les années 80, un vieil homme, Calvin Barr (Sam Elliott), vit ses derniers jours dans sa ville natale, avec son chien. Face à la surpopulation de la Terre, les autorités ont décidé d’instaurer la politique de l'enfant unique. Sarah (Alex Essoe) is a hopeful young woman suffering from trichotillomania, who is desperate to become famous, but is stuck waitressing at a Hooters-esque restaurant named Big Taters. Her boss Carl (Pat Healy) is frustrated with how Sarah's auditioning occasionally interferes with her job but is unwilling to fire her.
