Elle a débuté à seize ans, en 2003, sous la direction de Manuel Martín Cuenca, dans le film Sortie de route (La Flaqueza del bolchevique), avec Luis Tosar. Cette même année, elle a obtenu le prix Goya de la meilleure actrice débutante pour son rôle dans ce film.
Depuis, elle a tourné d'autres films tels que Fuera del cuerpo (2004) et Vorvik (2005). Elle interprète ensuite le rôle-titre de Melissa P., un film tiré du roman autobiographique Cent coups de brosse avant d'aller dormir de Melissa Panarello écrit quand elle était adolescente.

The film starts with Hugo 'H' Olivera voicing his thoughts about the ongoing trial where he's being prosecuted for assault on his mother's boyfriend. Let off with a fine of six thousand euros and a warning that further offenses would land him in prison, he walks out of the courtroom, switching his formal coat to a leather jacket and rides off on a Triumph Thruxton 07. He sees Babi Alcázar for the first time at a traffic intersection, on her way to school. He is immediately attracted to her as she sticks her face out for air and whistles before calling her a 'Dog-Face'. He rides up to her car window and takes her hand. A stunned Babi manages to give him the finger before driving off.

Set in the 1930s in a strict elite British boarding school called St Mathilda's, the story centers on a clique of girls who idolize their enigmatic diving instructor, Miss G (Eva Green) (in the film, we learn that Miss G had been a student at the same school where she now works and, in fact, may have even continued on at the school after she graduated). Di Radfield (Juno Temple) has a crush on Miss G, and is the firm favourite and ringleader of her group. When a beautiful Spanish girl named Fiamma Coronna (María Valverde) arrives at the school, Miss G's focus is shifted away from the other girls. It becomes a triangle: Miss G gets increasingly obsessed with Fiamma, Fiamma is disturbed by Miss G and also openly disgusted by the teacher's hypocrisies and deceptions, and Di is terribly jealous and makes Fiamma's life hell. In a very telling scene in the film that clearly highlighted Miss G's deceptions, Miss G (who claimed to be a world traveller to her "girls") goes to a nearby parochial town to buy some provisions. She is visibly upset by this trip and after buying her provisions and drawing the unwanted attention of some local louts, she returns to the school in, it would seem, a near panic. The bullying culminates in Di physically throwing Fiamma out of the school but, as she is unable to return to Spain as she hoped, Fiamma ends up back at the school later that night.

Quim is driving through an isolated rural area and arrives at a petrol station where it is revealed he is trying to get in contact with a woman named Sofia. Whilst on the phone he spots a woman shoplifting and meets her in the bathroom where they have sex and she steals his wallet. In an attempt to follow her to recover his belongings his car is shot at, and, when he pulls over to inspect the damage, a man with a rifle and dog appears and shoots him in the leg. He manages to get back into his car but he only gets so far until he discovers the road is blocked by a bulldozer and fallen tree. Leaving the car in an attempt to get a signal for his phone to call for help he hears a rumbling back at the road where he left his car and promptly drives back the way he came, only to run over his apparent pursuer.

He follows her and introduces himself to her by a false name and a false profession.They start spending time with each other, going to a park and afterwards to the swimming complex.Later Maria comes to know of the real name of the person she is seeing to be Pablo Lopez.However after an initial reluctance she gives in and they again start to see each other.On the other hand,a colleague of Pablo is wooing him hard but he disperses her advances as he has grown to have feelings for Maria.Meanwhile Sonsoles's older lover fixes a device in her landline which traces unknown numbers and hence she knows that Pablo is behind the act.However she does not know about her sister's involvement with him and so she sends goons after him to teach him a lesson.But the story takes an ugly turn when the goons target Pablo Maria is with him and she is molested by the goons though Pablo tries hard to save her but he is captured and when Maria tries to save herself and in self-defense hits one of the goons with her knee she is thrown against a rock and dies on the spot.Pablo overcome by sorrow and grief stays by her until the police arrive and is arrested .In the prison he sees a flashback of Maria and becomes elated.
