Sergi López i Ayats (born 22 December 1965) is a Spanish actor.
Il débute au théâtre dans son pays ; c'est en France qu'il obtient son premier rôle à l'écran, en tenant le rôle principal masculin dans La Petite Amie d'Antonio, sorti en 1992 et réalisé par Manuel Poirier. En 1997, le film Western, toujours réalisé par Manuel Poirier, remporte un succès commercial et lui permet d'être découvert par le grand public. Il enchaîne ensuite les rôles principaux, tournant en alternance en France et en Espagne.
En 2001, Sergi López est le premier acteur étranger à recevoir un César du meilleur acteur en France pour son rôle inquiétant dans Harry, un ami qui vous veut du bien.
Il mène une carrière de polyglotte, tournant tantôt en catalan, en espagnol, en français, voire, avec Stephen Frears, en anglais. De même, il joue aussi bien dans des comédies que des comédies dramatiques, passant d'un personnage de maladroit sympathique à celui d'un trafiquant sans scrupule (Dirty Pretty Things) ou d'un militaire sadique (Le Labyrinthe de Pan).
En 2007, il présente au théâtre à Paris et en province son spectacle Non Solum, un one-man-show mis en scène par Jorge Pico.
En novembre 2009, Sergi López soutient la campagne pour un référendum sur l'indépendance de la Catalogne. Il apparaît en dernière position en 2011 sur la liste électorale de la Candidature d'unité populaire (CUP), parti de gauche, aux élections municipales dans sa ville natale et se présente à nouveau en septembre 2015. Le 6 novembre 2012 il publie un article «Esquerra? La CUP» dans lequel il soutient la CUP aux Élections au Parlement de Catalogne de 2012. Aux Élections au Parlement de Catalogne de 2015 il soutient semblablement la Candidatura d'Unitat Popular - Crida Constituent.
En 2015, Sergi López joue à la Pépinière Théâtre la pièce 30/40 Livingstone qu'il a co-écrite avec Jorge Pico.
Il a eu deux enfants avec sa compagne Bianca : une fille Juna (née en 1996) et un fils, Magi (né en 1998). Ils se sont séparés après vingt-cinq ans de vie commune.

During the 16th century, horse dealer Michael Kohlhaas is taking his horses to market; when he must pass through a local baron's lands, the baron seizes two of his horses, even though tolling rights were abolished in the country. When Kohlhaas discovers that his loyal servant was attacked by the baron's guard dogs, and that his horses have been injured and abused, he attempts to sue for monetary compensation, but his lawsuit is dismissed because the baron has a kinsman in the court. Later, Kohlhaas's wife dies from injuries suffered at the hands of the baron's men.

After a successful heist, Franck Adrien and his partner are convicted and sent to prison. An abandoned baby is taken in by a Spanish monastery, and raised as a monk, christened Capuchin Ambrosio. An exceptional preacher, Ambrosio is respected by all. One day a masked figure by the name of Valerio arrives at the monastery with his godfather, explaining the mask as necessary due to terrible burns inflicted on him in a fire that killed his parents. He expresses a desire to join the monastery which is initially shunned by several of the monks, however Ambrosio convinces them to not fear his differences, and to accept him. Valerio later reveals to Ambrosio that he is actually a woman by the name of Matilda, and Ambrosio orders her to leave. As a last request she asks for a rose from his rose garden, and upon reaching in to pluck one for her, Ambrosio is bitten by a giant centipede. As he becomes delirious from the effects of the venom, he is seduced by Matilda and compromises his faith. Another lady, Antonia, who had recently heard him preach comes to the monastery to ask that Ambrosio see her sick mother. He complies and is told of a story by the sickly mother that she left a son Mateo that was lost years ago and this troubles her soul. Driven by a carnal lust for Matilda, Ambrosio transgresses and he is soon found desiring the innocent Antonia now. He also sees apparitions of the pregnant Nun he condemned to death by turning her over to the prioress. Matilda recognizes Ambrosio's new interest in the fair Antonia and uses magic spells to help the monk in his pursuit of her. She resists and her rape by him and discovery of her murdered mother (at the hand of Ambrosio) leads to her insanity. As her mother dies, she utters the word "Mateo", indicating that Ambrosio now knows that he is the older brother of Antonia that was lost years ago. Returning to the monastery, Ambrosio is delivered to the Inquisition where he is condemned to death by starvation; escaping only by selling his soul to the devil in an effort to save Antonia. It later emerges that Matilda is an instrument of Satan in female form. The devil prevents Ambrosio's final repentance.

1977. Dans la petite ville fictive de Sainte-Gudule, située dans le Nord, près de Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, l'usine de parapluies Pujol-Michonneau est dirigée par un patron réactionnaire et misogyne, Monsieur Pujol (Fabrice Luchini), qui a épousé la fille Michonneau, Suzanne (Catherine Deneuve). Cette dernière, surnommée « la potiche » par sa propre fille, supporte sans broncher le mauvais caractère, les vexations et les infidélités de son mari, notamment la relation qu’il entretient avec sa secrétaire, Nadège (Karin Viard). Pujol est excédé par le climat social exécrable qui règne dans son usine. Le député-maire communiste de la ville, Maurice Babin (Gérard Depardieu) ne se prive pas de souffler sur les braises. Un jour les ouvriers déclenchent une grève sans préavis qui débouche sur la séquestration de Pujol. Il fait une grave attaque cardiaque. Dans l'attente de son rétablissement, sa « potiche » de femme décide, à la surprise générale, de prendre la direction de l'entreprise. Et, à la surprise générale, elle s'en tire plutôt bien.

In the harsh post-war years' Catalan countryside, Dionís, a bird dealer, is killed with his son by a man in a hooded cape. Andreu, an 11-year-old boy, discovers the bodies. Farriol, who was Dionís’s business partner dealing with birds, is an easy target for incrimination due to his suspicious background as a supporter of the Second Spanish Republic. Years before, the mayor and Farriol were rivals vying for the love of Florència, Andreu’s mother, cementing the major resentment against both of them. Fearing for his life, Farriol decides to flee and cross the border into France. Florència has to work in a factory in Vic so Andreu is sent to live with his paternal relatives in a house full of women and children. Àvia, Andreu’s old grandmother and Ció, a widower aunt who has a son a few years older than Andreu, work looking after the country home of the richest family of the region, the Manuben. There is also a younger aunt, Enriqueta, who is being pressured into marrying an older neighbor she does not love. The grim household is completed by Andreu’s orphan cousin Núria, a maimed but beautiful girl around his age, who lost a hand while playing with a grenade.

The movie begins with Mr. Nagara, a wealthy CEO, complaining to his loyal assistant, Ishida, that he does not like the way he has to entertain the people he is signing a contract with. They eat sushi off of the naked bodies of women lying on the tables. Ishida receives a phone call and tells Mr. Nagara that his daughter has killed herself. Mr. Nagara blames Midori's boyfriend, David, a Spanish man who owns a wine shop in Tokyo. Mr. Nagara cannot abide the fact that David is alive and Midori is dead. Ishida says he will take care of it and hires a woman who works in a fish market, Ryu, to murder David.
