Sreelekshmi is an Indian actress in Malayalam movies. She was one of the lead actress in 1990s in Malayalam movies.

Biography

She is born to Bhaskaran Nair and Rajeswariyamma, as the youngest child among three children at Vazhuthacaud, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She has two elder brothers, Sreekumar and Sreejith. She had her primary education at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School, Trivandrum. She was the Kalathilakam in 1987 at Kerala university. After her Pre-university course she pursued diploma in Bharata Natyam dance from Kalakshetra, Chennai.

She is married to Ratheesh, divisional Manager in an interior fit out company based in Dubai. They have two sons, Ananth Maheswer and Akshith Maheswer. After marriage she retired from movies and settled at Dubai with family. While in Dubai the actress was busy by running a dance school. She made a coming back in 2012 with Television serials. Currently she resides at Thiruvananthapuram and runs a dance school Temple of Arts at Kuravankonam, Trivandrum.

The story is set in an engineering college, where Umesh (Nivin Pauly) is studying. Umesh is a carefree engineering student, who has 42 back papers to clear. His close pals are Shaji (Aju Varghese) and Thankaprasad (Neeraj Madhav). Wanting to find a quick way to earn money and fame, he decides to try his hand at movies, and wants to assist none other than the renowned South-Indian director Gautham Vasudev Menon. His friend Shaji suggests that he make a short film and upload it on the internet. But the result is utter failure, after losing the camera in an accident. Umesh’s father (Vijayraghavan) orders him to help him to run his small shop. To avoid such a bleak future, Umesh catches the next train to (Chennai). On the train, he sees Daisy (Manjima Mohan), his neighbour back home. Umesh tries to woo Daisy throughout the journey, but miserably fails. He lies to his friends that they are having an affair, tricks her into posing for a selfie with him, and sends it to Shaji.

Jagathy Sreekumar - Kumar Kubera (Kumaran) and Oduvil Unnikrishnan - Prabhakara Prabhu (Prabhakaran)are former friends, business rivals and bitter enemies. They want to outdo each other in everything, and specially when it comes to when marrying off their daughters. Manoharan Salim Kumar the marriage broker brings them many good suitors for their daughters but Kubera and Prabhu succeed in driving away the suitors. One day Manoharan brings a middle easy NRI Kottayam Nazir to see Prabhu's daughter. Nazir works in Oman but Prabhu finds him unsuitable and insults him. Nazir vows to take revenge and marry off Prabhu's daughter to the most unsuitable boy in the land. He enlists Manoharan's help to find such a suitor and Manoharan introduces him to Mattupetti Machan (Mukesh) a notorious coolie in the local market. Kannappan (Baiju) is the rival faction leader and the two often lock horns over unloading work.

Mahadevan (Jayaram) and Kumaran (Janardhanan) work in a small firm and are room mates renting from Janakiamma (Meena). One day, luck comes to them when Mahadevan wins a car as the first prize of a promotional contest held by a washing-powder brand. Meanwhile, a murderer, Ambrose (Abu Salim) is after Maya. By mistake, both the murderer and Mahadevan get the same tag number on their cars' license plates. The murderers try a hit-and-run attack on Maya, but she escapes. She thinks that Mahadevan who did it. Mahadevan gets arrested by sub-inspector Cherian (Kalabhavan Mani) according to Maya's complaint. But due to lack of proper evidence, he's released with a warning. After getting through problems one after another, Mahadevan finds the real killers and their car. He tells Maya about the killers who attempted for her life. Shockingly it is revealed that one of the killers is Maya's Vishnu who is after her wealth. Vishnu tries to kill Maya, but Mahadevan stops him. In an attempt to kill Mahadevan and Maya, Vishnu dies by falling on a sharp object. In an attempt to dump his body, the couple is stopped by Vishnu's accomplice, Ambrose. He's enraged by his friend's death and tries to kill Mahadevan and Maya. But ends up at the dead end of the road, where the cops were waiting for him with an armed force. The car catches fire from the gunshots and explodes, killing him. The film ends with sub-inspector Cherian thanking Mahadevan and Maya, for their help and support.
