Sarah Jane Hyland (born November 24, 1990) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Haley Dunphy on the ABC sitcom Modern Family.

Biography

In 2009, Hyland began dating actor Matt Prokop, whom she met while auditioning for High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Hyland and Prokop lived together from 2011 until 2014. On September 19, 2014, Hyland was granted a temporary restraining order against Prokop after he assaulted and threatened her. As of February 2015, she is dating Vampire Academy co-star Dominic Sherwood.

Hyland was diagnosed with kidney dysplasia as a young child. In April 2012, she received a kidney transplant, with her father as the donor.
