Né en 1946 à Montréal, Québec (Canada), Stephen Lack est diplômé de l'Université McGill (1967) en psychologie. Il obtient sa maîtrise en sculpture (Beaux-arts) à l'Universidad Guanajuato de San Miguel, Mexique.
