Synopsis
Zheng Kaisi (Li Yifeng ), un jeune homme perdu financièrement, se retrouve endetté de plusieurs millions après qu'un ami ait fait un mauvais investissement en son nom. Il se voit donc obligé d'embarquer à bord du navire Destiny pour participer à une nuit de jeux de hasard organisé par un homme mystérieux (Michael Douglas). Il a ainsi l'occasion, s'il gagne, d'annuler toutes ses dettes. Sur place, chaque participant se voit remettre 12 cartes (4 "pierre", 4 "feuille" et 4 "ciseaux") dont ils doivent se servir lors de parties du jeu du même nom (Pierre, Feuille, Ciseaux) pour s'emparer des trois étoiles dont chaque concurrent est doté.Actors

In 1898, Sir Robert Beaumont (Tom Wilkinson), the primary financier of a railroad project in Tsavo, Kenya, is furious because the project is running behind schedule. He seeks out the expertise of John Henry Patterson (Val Kilmer), an Irish military engineer, to get the project back on track. William Foster is recently divorced, and his ex-wife Beth has a restraining order to keep him away from her and their child, Adele. In addition, he was recently laid off from his job due to the early 90s recession. His frustration grows when his car air conditioning fails while he is stuck in traffic. He abandons his car and walks across Los Angeles to attend Adele's birthday party. At a convenience store, Foster becomes frustrated when the Korean owner refuses to give him change for a phone call. Foster disarms the owner and uses his bat to destroy merchandise before paying for a coke and leaving. Shortly thereafter, two gang members accost him with a knife. A young American computer engineer (Shane West as Max) acquires a mobile phone that receives strange text messages. First they encourage him to miss his flight which crashes soon after takeoff. Then the messages direct him to buy a certain stock, which increases by 313%. Next, the messages direct him to a hotel/casino in Prague to gamble. He first wins one-hundred thousand Euro on a slot machine and bets the entire amount on a hand of blackjack, which he wins. Max then has an altercation with a beautiful woman (Tamara Feldman) and her jealous boyfriend in the hotel corridor, where he is knocked-out, and his mysterious phone is apparently scanned. Max wakes up with the smiling woman, Kamila, and asks her out for a drink.
