Astrothrill is an animated short film based on the alternative comics of the same name published by Cheeky Press. The film is directed by its creator, Craig Clark, an art rock, darkwave musician (Chorus of Souls on Fluxus Records), animator (Forrest Gump and The Simpsons), comic book artist (Nemesister and Timbuktu) and album cover artist (The Nymphs). Clark produced the film little by little over a period of four years, from 1999-2004.
The story features a skateboard riding space alien in his quest to enjoy great rock and roll music and the evil human beings and aliens that he must escape to enjoy it. The film features voice over work by Renee Estevez and music by Fu Manchu and The Bellrays, among others.

A supermarket closes and the workers begin restocking the shelves for the next day. Craig, the former boyfriend of cashier Jennifer, appears and the two have an argument. Worried for her friend, Linda presses her panic button. Co-owner Bill appears and a fight ensues. Craig escapes onto the shop floor, and the night crew set out to track him down while Jennifer calls the police. When Craig is found there is another scuffle; he is ejected from the building and disappears into the night.

T.C., the head counselor at Camp Rolling Hills, is at a campfire with the male campers Sean, Rob, Anthony, Judd, Charlie and Emilio. Also there is Phoebe, who has sneaked away from her cabin to be with the boys. As Phoebe tells the story about the killings of the previous film at Camp Arawak, her head counselor Angela appears and forces her to go back to the cabin. After the pair get into an argument, Phoebe becomes lost, only to be attacked by Angela who hits her over the head with a log before cutting her tongue out.
