Captive Women is an American science-fiction film from 1952 that stars Robert Clarke and Margaret Field. The movie is fairly short, only 64 minutes and is in black-and-white. In 1956, it was re-released by the name 1000 Years from Now. In the United Kingdom the movie is known as 3000 A.D., the film's original title. It deals with the effects of a nuclear war and how life would be afterwards.
Synopsis
The story takes place in New York City in a post-apocalyptic setting. Two tribes, the "Norms" and the "Mutates", fighting in the remains of the city. They later band together to fight a third tribe, the "Upriver People", who are invading Manhattan through the Hudson Tunnel in order to steal the other tribes' women.Actors

U.S. Air Force test pilot Major Bill Allison flies an experimental aircraft to sub-orbital spaceflight successfully, though losing radio contact in flight. When Major Allison returns to the airbase it appears abandoned, old and deserted. Mystified by the surroundings, he sees a futuristic city on the horizon where there had been nothing standing before the flight. The Major is rendered unconscious and captured by the city inhabitants.

Astronauts Taylor (Charlton Heston), Landon (Robert Gunner), Dodge (Jeff Burton) and Stewart are in deep hibernation when their spaceship crashes in a lake on an unknown planet after a long near-light speed voyage, during which, due to time dilation, the crew ages only 18 months. As the ship sinks, Taylor finds Stewart dead and her body desiccated. They throw an inflatable raft from the ship and climb down into it; before departing the ship, Taylor notes that the date is November 25, AD 3978, approximately two millennia after their departure in 1972. Once ashore, Dodge performs a soil test and pronounces the soil incapable of sustaining life.

In the beginning of the story, Earth has been devastated by a nuclear war. Only a handful of humans have survived, while the rest have changed into mutants who roam the irradiated wastelands. In the idyllic land of Montagar, fairies, elves, and dwarves live in peace. During a celebration of 3,000 years of peace, Delia, queen of the fairies, gives birth to twin wizards: Avatar, who spends much of his boyhood entertaining his mother with beautiful visions, and Blackwolf, who spends his time torturing small animals. After many years, Delia dies, and Blackwolf tries to seize her rule; but Avatar expels him. Years later, Blackwolf has become ruler of Scortch (a semi-irradiated zone), where he restores ancient technology. He tries to attack Montagar twice, but is foiled both times. Blackwolf then discovers an old projector and reels of Nazi propaganda footage, which he uses first to inspire his own soldiers and later to distract the elves, whom his own people can then overcome.

All remaining reserves of petroleum have finally run out; forcing people to ration the few remaining containers of gasoline left on the earth against mercenaries and warlords. Straker and his men (accompanied by his daughter Corlie - played by Annie McEnroe) find a vast supply of diesel fuel in a compound once thought to be radioactive. When Corlie refuses to execute the previous owners, she runs away from base camp. Hunter (Michael Beck), on his amazing (possibly ex-future-military) motorcycle, rescues the girl and takes her to his farm. After keeping her on the farm on a temporary basis, Hunter sends her off to live in a walled city (known in-film as Clearwater Farm) governed by a strict old-fashioned democracy (similar to the Quakers) where she is quickly accepted by the community. However, she is soon discovered by the mercenaries commanded by her father, Colonel Straker (James Wainwright), who moves to attack the Clearwater community. In the chaos that ensues, Corlie manages to escape back to Hunter's remote hideout. Straker terrorises the residents of Clearwater, taking their weapons, medicines, and other supplies and handing the women over to his men.

First Lieutenant Jake Tanner (Jan-Michael Vincent) shares ICBM silo duty at an American air force missile base in the Californian desert with Major Eugene "Sam" Denton (George Peppard), who is requesting not to work with him. Thirty years after a nuclear apocalypse, Eli (Denzel Washington) travels on foot toward the west coast of the former United States. Along the way he demonstrates uncanny survival and fighting skills, hunting wildlife and swiftly defeating a group of desert bandits who try to ambush him. Searching for water, he arrives in a ramshackle town rebuilt and overseen by Carnegie (Gary Oldman).
