The film begins with Jayanthi (Jayasudha) gives birth to baby boy Chinna (Master Prabhu) in jail. Papa Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) maternal uncle to Jayanthi and his Hari (Srihari) always harasses Jayanti for her property. Shantamma says Chinna that Krishna is his father, from that day Chinna follows him like white on rice, torches him a lot and also spoils marriage life of Krishna and Radha.
Raghu (Jagapathi Babu) and Padma (Divyavani) are students at the same college and are in love with each other. Raghu has an older sister (Annapurna), who brought him up and was everything to him. Raghu attends his sister's daughter Aliveelu's (Kinnera) marriage, which is canceled at the last minute due to dowry problems. Raghu steps in and marries Aliveelu. When he returns to the city he finds out that the Padma is pregnant, which forces him to marry her as well.
