Eric Bishop is a football fanatic postman whose life is descending into crisis. Looking after his granddaughter is bringing him into contact with his ex-wife, Lily, whom he abandoned after the birth of their daughter. At the same time, his stepson Ryan is hiding a gun under the floorboards of his bedroom for a violent drugs baron. At his lowest moments Bishop considers suicide. But after a short meditation session with fellow postmen in his living room, and smoking cannabis stolen from his stepson, hallucinations bring forth his footballing hero, the famously philosophical Eric Cantona, who gives him advice. His relationship with Lily improves dramatically. Bishop finds the gun and confronts his stepson. Ryan admits to his involvement with the drugs gang, and Bishop attempts to return the gun to the gangster. He is forced to keep it himself, however, when a Rottweiler is set on him in his car. The gangster then posts footage on YouTube of Bishop's humiliation. The entire family is then arrested by the police on a tip-off but they fail to find the gun. Eric Cantona then advises Bishop to seek help from his friends and to 'surprise' himself. Bishop organises 'Operation Cantona', sneaking dozens of fellow Manchester United fans – wearing Cantona masks – into the gangster's house and humiliating him and his family, threatening to put the video of their operation onto YouTube, in turn. The film ends at Bishop's daughter's graduation day, where the family re-unites in peace.

M. Moulinet joue les bienfaiteurs dans sa cité de Barfleur-sur-Oron, et dirige, en même temps, à Paris une bande de malfaiteurs sous le pseudonyme de Guillot. Irène Berger lui ayant demandé de devenir bienfaiteur de son association de jeunes filles orphelines, il accepte et devient amoureux de la jeune femme. Il monte à Paris afin de se livrer avec ses complices à une dernière escroquerie qui lui permettra d'offrir un magnifique bijou à Irène. Il prévient sa bande que ce sera sa dernière action malhonnête et donne son adresse à son bras droit. La police soupçonnant la bande récupère l'adresse et l'inspecteur Picard se rend à Barfleur-sur-Oron afin d'enquêter. Ce dernier se rend compte que l'alibi de Moulinet qui déclare avoir été à Paris pour enterrer un vieil oncle ne tient pas. Moulinet n'avoue rien mais quand on veut le confronter à Irène, il se met à table, faisant promettre aux policiers que cette dernière ne saura jamais rien de ses actions illicites. Sur le chemin le conduisant à la voiture de police, un incendie allumé par un alcoolique s'est déclaré, Moulinet demande l'autorisation de tenter de maîtriser le forcené, l'inspecteur accepte. Et bien que ce ne soit pas explicite on suppose que Moulinet périt dans les flammes.

Jack, Steve and Goat are East End London "spivs" (British slang for a black marketeer) who spend their days wheeling and dealing whenever and wherever they can. But not until they're landed with the juicy payoff they have been waiting for, involving a shady character who calls himself Villa, do they realize the trouble they've gotten themselves into.
