Cecily Polson is an Australian actress, known for her role as Martha O'Dare in the television series E Street having appeared for its four-year run from the pilot in 1989 to 1994. Many other roles, primarily in television soap opera from the 1970s onwards such as appearances on Certain Women, Homicide, Division 4, A Country Practice, G.P. The Flying Doctors and All Saints. Film roles include The Year of Living Dangerously and Muriels Wedding, she also appeared in the horror genre film's, See No Evil, starring wrestler Kane and See No Evil 2 in 2014.

Amy (Danielle Harris), Seth (Kaj-Erik Eriksen) and their boss Holden (Michael Eklund) are working the graveyard shift at a local city morgue. As Amy is preparing to meet friends at a bar for her birthday, Holden receives news that a number of bodies are being delivered, the victims of a mass murder committed by Jacob Goodnight (Kane) at the Blackwell Hotel. Amy decides to cancel her plans and help her colleagues with the deliveries. Amy and Seth process the corpses, including that of Goodnight. As Amy leaves Seth to finish the work, she is startled to find Holden has allowed her friends Tamara (Katharine Isabelle), Kayla (Chelan Simmons), Carter (Lee Majdoub) and her brother Will (Greyston Holt) to throw a birthday party in the morgue. During the party, Will warns Seth to stay away from Amy, believing she deserves better than him, causing Seth to leave the party and return to work. Will tells Amy of his disapproval of her dropping out of Med School to work in the morgue, angering Amy who also leaves the party.

Police officer Frank Williams (Steven Vidler) and his partner Blaine (Corey Parker Robinson) investigate an abandoned house, where they find a young woman with her eyes ripped out. Suddenly, Blaine is murdered by a large figure with an axe before Frank is attacked as well. Frank manages to fend the man off, but his arm is severed in the process. Guy Hamilton, a neophyte foreign correspondent for an Australian network, arrives in Jakarta on assignment. He meets the close-knit members of the foreign correspondent community including journalists from the UK, the US and New Zealand, diplomatic personnel, and a Chinese-Australian dwarf of high intelligence and moral seriousness, Billy Kwan. Hamilton is initially unsuccessful because his predecessor, tired of life in Indonesia, had departed without introducing Hamilton to his contacts. He receives limited sympathy from the journalist community, which competes for scraps of information from Sukarno's government, the Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI), and the conservative Muslim military. However, Kwan takes a liking to Hamilton and arranges interviews for him with key political figures.
