Jack Cutting est un animateur américain ayant collaboré à plusieurs courts métrages produits par Walt Disney. Il est né le 19 janvier 1908 à New York et décédé le 17 août 1988 à North Hollywood (Californie). Il est devenu dans les années 1940 le responsable du doublage pour les films Disney.
Il devient le premier assistant-réalisateur du studio sous la direction de David Hand avant de devenir réalisateur en 1938 sur Farmyard Symphony. Il participe au voyage en Amérique du Sud dans les années 1940. Dave Simpson écrit que Jack Cutting a été nommé responsable du doublage international à la suite de son travail sur Saludos Amigos (1942). Jimmy Johnson mentionne Jack Cutting comme responsable du doublage des films Disney en 1965 lors d'un voyage à Tokyo pour l'adaptation de Mary Poppins (1964).

Jack Cutting débute aux studios Disney en 1929 comme animateur sur les premiers Mickey Mouse Dave Hand.Il devient le premier assistant-réalisateur du studio sous la direction de David Hand avant de devenir réalisateur en 1938 sur Farmyard Symphony. Il participe au voyage en Amérique du Sud dans les années 1940. The film tells the story of three kittens (one black, one orange and one grey) and their adventures in a house. It begins with the kittens left out in the snow. They then notice the house nearby and enter it for shelter. They arrive at its kitchen, and begin to play there after the house's African-American housekeeper (possibly a prototype version of Mammy Two-Shoes) has finished preparing a meal. After more playing in various areas of the house, the film switches its focus to one particular kitten, the black one, who is chasing a feather and eventually ends up on a piano keyboard. The kitten starts to play with the feather walking down the piano keyboard and the feather lands on the 'on' switch with the kitten presses and the then-revealed pianola begins to play; ironically it is playing a variation of "Kitten On The Keys" a song composed by Zez Confrey in 1921. The other two kittens rejoin the first and play around the pianola. When the pianola finishes its song, the kittens leave it and are caught by the housekeeper. As she prepares to throw them out, she is stopped by a little girl, who decides to adopt the kittens.

On Christmas morning, 1909, in a quaint Midwestern town, Jim Dear gives his wife Darling an American cocker spaniel puppy which she names Lady. Lady enjoys a happy life with the couple and two local neighborhood dogs, Jock, a Scottish terrier, and Trusty, a bloodhound. Meanwhile, across town, a stray mutt named Tramp lives on his own, dining on scraps from Tony's restaurant and protecting his friends from the local dogcatcher. One day, Lady is saddened after her owners begin treating her rather coldly. Jock and Trusty visit her and determine that their change in behavior is due to Darling expecting a baby. While Jock and Trusty try to explain what a baby is, Tramp interrupts the conversation and offers his own thoughts on the matter, making Jock and Trusty take an immediate dislike to the stray and order him out of the yard. As Tramp leaves, he reminds Lady that "when the baby moves in, the dog moves out.
