Biography
Stavros Xenidis was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He studied acting in Karolos Koun's Theatro Technis and made his theatre début in 1944. His theatre career was closely associated with Kostas Moussouris' theatrical company during the 1950s and the 1960s . As a film actor, he took part in more than 70 movies, mostly in secondary roles; his first film role was in "The Song of Pain" (1953) (Greek title: "Το Τραγούδι του Πόνου") and his last was in "Red White" (1993) ("Άσπρο Κόκκινο").He also appeared in several TV shows since 1971; His last appearance on television was in 1994.
He died in a retirement home in Athens on 2 November 2008, after suffering a number of strokes.

The film tells the story of a group of soldiers, who, during their compulsory military service in 1967 and 1968, before and during the Greek Junta, are assigned to the, then, recently founded Armed Forces Television. This TV station, founded for the civilian population, was run by the Army Cinematographic Unit which until then had only produced propaganda films and newsreels and was responsible for entertaining the troops and other charity organizations with movie screenings. The personnel was composed mostly of soldiers, who already had experience in the film business in their civilian lives, as well as those who received their training in the army.

Antonis and Eleni are an unmarried couple, which live in a traditional neighbourhood in Athens. Antonis is a literate employee of a ministry but Eleni is an illiterate housewife from a poor family. Due to their social divide between them, Antonis underrates Eleni and treats her like a slave. Nevertheless, she carries on loving him and serving him. But the situation changes after their marriage. Eleni starts to emancipate and she claims equality. Antonis doesn't put up with the new situation and asks divorce. Several years later the two former spouses are met in the demolition of their old house. They remember their old lives and decide to give their relationship even one chance. The film features the characters mixing the humour with emotion and nostalgia, filled also with the beautiful pictures of Athens at those years.

Après la mort de son père, Anna-Margo (Voula Harilaou) quitte la maison familiale car elle ne s'entend plus avec sa mère et son frère Alexandros (Thannasis Mylonas). Elle s'installe à l'hôtel. Cependant, elle est toujours en contact avec sa famille en raison de problèmes liés à l'héritage. Un jour, une femme Evi Linardou l'appelle et la menace. Anna-Margo fait alors appel à un avocat Tonis Karzis (Michalis Nikolinakos) pour retrouver cette Evi Linardou. L'enquête de l'avocat le mène chez un peintre Bampis Fokas puis un photographe Valentinos pour qui Linardou aurait posé. C'est alors que Valentinos et Alexandros sont assassinés et qu'Anna-Margo disparaît. Karzis finit par retrouver Linardou. Zachos (Vassílis Avlonítis), président de la société des bonnes mœurs locales, est en fait un coureur de jupons. Il hérite d'un de ses cousins, mais il y a une condition.
