Thanasis Veggos (alternatively spelt Thanassis and/or Vengos; Greek: Θανάσης Βέγγος; pronounced: Thanássis Végos; 29 May 1926 – 3 May 2011) was a Greek actor and director born in Neo Faliro, Piraeus. He performed in around 130 films, predominantly comedies in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, starring in more than 50 among them. He is considered one of the best Greek comedy actors of all time. His famous comedic catchphrase was "Καλέ µου άνθρωπε" ("My good man").

En 1942, pendant l'occupation de la Grèce par les puissances de l'Axe, Thanassis (Thanássis Véngos) et sa sœur Frosso (Katerína Gógou) vivent à Athènes dans le même appartement et survivent tant bien que mal. Thanassis travaille dans une entreprise grecque au service des occupants allemands et italiens. Ce travail permet à Thanassis et Frosso d'échapper en partie à la famine organisée par les nazis : il ramène le soir dans sa gamelle, une partie de la nourriture distribuée par les Allemands aux ouvriers. The inept secret agent Thou-Vou (Thanasis Vengos) shas finally graduated. He and his fellow agent MAP 31 (Antonis Papadopoulos) partner up to open their own agency. Their first customers are drama film director Tzimis Paloukas (Vasilis Andreopoulos) and his associates from the film company "Ah Vah" (Greek: Αχ Βαχ, the term means woe). They task them with three missions but their true intention is to secretly film the agents in action. They are fully aware of their ineptness and intend to use the footage for Ah Vah's first comedy film. The missions are an excuse for a series of gags.
