Onamalu(Telugu: ఓనమాలు );(English: Alphabet) is a Telugu-language drama film directed by Kranthi Madhav. The film is a tale of a high school tutor, Narayana Rao. The film premiered on June 22, 2012. This is Kranthi Madhav's First Picture in Telugu. The known Telugu literary personality Mohammed Khadeer Babu penned dilouges for this movie for the first time. The film received CineMAA Awards for Best debut Director and Best outstanding Actor.
Synopsis
Narayana Rao (Rajendra Prasad) is a patriotic and simple village school master, who takes immense pleasure in working for the betterment of his students and his village. The movie shows Narayana Rao returning from the USA to his native village after a long gap. While sentiments and affection used to be the guiding forces in the village he left, commercialism and greed are the dominant forces in the village he returns to.Actors

Bangarraju (Allari Naresh) is a carefree youth and a very lucky guy who is referred to as an idiot in his village, and who bets on almost everything and wins in the bet, whereas his father is a respectable person. One day, his friend visits him telling that he loved and married a city girl whereas this was not the actual story. Raju, inspired by this, goes to the city, loves a girl. The rest of the story is about how Raju eliminates the other suitors by betting with them cleverly and winning the girl.

Chandu (Nagarjuna) and Suri (Rajendra Prasad) are pilots and thick friends. Indu (Raveena Tandon) and Padma (Kasthuri) are very good friends. Chandu gets married to Indu and Suri marries Padma. Indu and Padma become pregnant.Indu meets with a car accident and she becomes infertile. Padma gives birth to twins, Ram and Lakshman. Indu and Chandu adopt Ram. After three years, Lakshman is infected by cancer. He needs to undergo bone marrow transplantation. Indu refuses and flees with Ram to Delhi fearing that Chandu will force her to send Ram for operation. Later on, she realizes her mistake and boards a flight to return to her husband so that Ram can be operated upon. Pakistani militants hijack the flight and they divert the flight's route. Lakshman is on his death-bed. How Chandu rescues the flight's passengers and puts an end to the story forms the climax.

Rajaji (Rajendra Prasad) is a middle aged man who does not have any dependents as both his wife and daughter die. His daughter takes her life because of the rejection from her boy friend. Rajaji is so much depressed with the entire episode that he too wants to die. He gathers like-minded people with suicide tendencies. He arranges a bus trip to Srisailam where they want to jump the bus from the highest cliff. Meanwhile this news is leaked to the cops. And the cops are in search of these people. Along the way the passengers on the bus come to realize that their problems are very insignificant and that they were not worth taking their life. Rajaji reveals that was his plan all along, but on their way back the bus's brakes get stuck. Rajaji saves all the passengers, but he himself can not get out. However, the police arrive just in time to save him.

Indu (Manjari Phadnis) is a music loving girl. Her mother is a Malayali and father (Vizag Prasad) Telugu. Seenu (Nithiin) is a new admit at maharaja college of arts and sciences. Nandini (Neha) goes to the same college. Seenu is from a middle-class family and Nandini is a rich girl. Raghu Ramayya (Rajendra Prasad) is a kind hearted idealistic person who spends half of his income on charity work. His wife Bharati (Aamani), two sons Chinna and Raja and daughter Revathi are quite against this attitude. His children compel him to get money for their career (bribe for job), education (donation fee for engineering seat) and settling in United States which he feels is completely wrong. He is forced to set aside his morality and take a loan from his neighbor, Kotayya (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Unable to bear the defeat of his ideology and moral issues, he dies naturally due to a heart attack the very day he gives money to his children. The rest of the film is about how his children and wife realise just how important he was as they prepare his funeral. At last, every one had realised that after death only love and affection will come with us so love the people and society.

Shankar is an orphan raised by a sincere police officer Raja Rao. In an unexpected situation, Raja Rao's son Bharath kills a kid and Shankar takes the blame on him and is imprisoned while Raja Rao warns him not to meet him again. Years later Shankar is a CI who is referred as 'Encounter' Shankar because of his track record as an encounter specialist. He is posted to Bukkapatnam town in Tadipatri, Ananthapuram and is assigned the task of ending the illegal businesses of a dreaded local don Damodar whose dream project is to build a power plant. Using his clever mind, Shankar destroys all the three main businesses of Damodar by trapping the respective in-charges of those businesses. He brings a stay on the power project by bringing few vital witnesses. On a parallel note, Shankar loves a sweet shop owner named Saroja who reciprocates his love at a later point of time.
