Sparsha (Kannada: ಸ್ಪರ್ಶ, English: The Touch) is a 2000 Indian Kannada film directed by Sunil Kumar Desai. It stars Sudeep, Rekha and Sudha Rani in lead roles. The music of the film was composed by Hamsalekha under Sarovar Productions company.

Synopsis

Sudeep is a film actor and model. He falls in love with Suma (Rekha) during a film shoot in Ooty. They meet each other, share their views and Sudeep meets with Suma's family.

The film opens to Akshay (Shankar Nag), having esaped from jail, being chased by the police when accidentally runs into the house of Sudha (Vanitha Vasu), a high school classmate of his. He hides in a closet when Inspector Kaury (Avinash) knocks the door. As he hides, he finds the corpse of her husband, Rithwik Kumar (Devaraj) dumped there. The officer breaks the news to Sudha that the plane by which her husband Kumar travelled to Calcutta crashed, killing all the passengers. She appears shocked and breaks down in front of the officer. After he leaves, she reveals to Akshay that she killed her husband and confides in him. He joins her in disposing the corpse in an abandoned well by her estate.

The story opens with a kidnapping of an architect (Avinash) at night. He is whisked away to a secluded location where he is tortured by unknown assailants for information regarding the structural details of a bank which he helped build. When the torture reaches excruciating levels, the architect gives in and shares the confidential details of the security alarms and safety devices in the bank. It is shown that the leader of the group called Dev (B. C. Patil) is a terrorist and will stop at nothing to get the bank's money to further his group's operations. It is also shown that he commands a strong team of at least 20 deadly terrorists.

Samarth returns from Switzerland to India and eventually gets appointed as a bodyguard to famous actress Maya. He wins over the confidence of Maya and Phalguni along with their family. He manages to almost convince her that she might be the killer of his brother when a don Kishore who is after Maya kidnaps her and keep her in a remote place. Meanwhile, her friend Ananth who is aware of this entire incident is also abducted. Then enters a specially appointed DCP Vishnu who interrogates everyone involved in this case.
