Synopsis
Un prince va voir un sorcier qui lui fait quelques tours : disparaître une table, changer un chaudron en une dame puis faire disparaître cette dernière à qui le prince faisait désormais la cour. Le prince en veut désormais au sorcier et tente en vain de le tuer avec une épée. Le prince est ensuite changé en gueux et entouré d'une foule de femmes à l'air mystique, qu'il implore. Il peut finalement retrouver son apparence initiale et partir avec sa dame, alors que le sorcier est enfermé dans une cage.Actors

A traveler, complete with riding boots and a pith helmet, arrives in a small hotel room. When he puts his luggage on the bed, it disappears immediately. Further magical confusions follow: when he sets down his helmet, it jumps to the floor and moves of its own accord before disappearing in its turn; when the traveler tries to light a candle, it jumps across the room and explodes; when he takes off his coat, it flies through the wall; when he tries to sit down, his chair changes place. Finally managing to sit down, the traveler takes off his boots, which walk away; when the traveler moves to the night table, it too disappears. The traveler prepares for bed and takes off his trousers, which fly through the ceiling. When he jumps into bed, it too disappears and reappears. The perplexed and irritated traveler gives up and dashes out of the room.

A wizard conjures a table and a box out of thin air, and then vanishes as he jumps toward the box. Pierrot emerges from the box and takes a seat, when suddenly a banquet appears on the table, but it vanishes along with the table and chair before he can eat. A man in an Elizabethan doublet taps him on the shoulder and he is transformed into a Renaissance sculptor. Lifting a half finished bust onto a pedestal he prepares to set to work on it with a hammer and chisel only for it to come to life and snatch his tools from him. He attempts to embrace the sculpture only for it to disappear and reappear in a variety of poses. Finally the Elizabethan man reappears to kick him in the rump.

Anthony the Great's devotions in a cave are disrupted by the sudden appearance of a young maiden who he banishes and returns to his prayer book. Two maidens then appear either side of him only to be quickly banished. The saint kisses a skull relic only for it to transform into a third woman, who is rejoined by the others to form encircle him before vanishing. The saint kneels before an image of Christ on the cross only for this to transform into one of the maidens. He is finally saved by the appearance of an angel who returns all to normal.

A stage magician conjures up a dove which he then places in a box with a set of clothes. A boy appears from the box, who the magician divides into two with an axe. The two boys squabble and the magician transforms one into a paper tissue which he shreds and places the other back in the box. The magician then destroys the box with a hammer to show the boy has vanished. The boy reappears and is transformed into flags. The magician then disappears in a puff of smoke only to re-enter through a door to take his bow.

In the observatory, the astronomer is studying at his desk. Satan appears, then a woman appears and makes Satan vanish. Then she disappears. The astronomer draws a globe on a blackboard. The globe develops a sun-like head and limbs and starts to move on the blackboard. The astronomer looks through a small telescope.

Ulysse approche de la grotte du cyclope Polyphème. Fatigué, il s’endort devant. Des nymphes musiciennes sortent alors de la grotte, jouent de la musique et jettent des fleurs sur le héros endormi. Calypso arrive, le réveille, alors que les jeunes filles s’éclipsent. Elle l’attire devant la grotte, puis disparaît, laissant la place à la main du cyclope qui essaie d’attraper Ulysse. Le géant sort ensuite sa tête et le héros lui transperce son seul œil avec une lance. Ulysse part alors, Calypso tente en vain de le retenir et pleure au milieu de ses amies.

Un magicien transforme un squelette en héroïne antique portant un bouclier, puis en danseuse qu'il met en lévitation. Il lui redonne ensuite son aspect de squelette et le fait danser et danse avec lui/elle et l'efface de l'écran. Il convoque ensuite des objets, tables et chaises, et les fait tourner par la force de la pensée. Un quadrige aussi féminin qu'aérien apparaît, danse, disparaît dans le ciel. Le magicien resté seul voit ses habits de scène s'envoler, révélant un costume de ville. Il quitte la scène en saluant après avoir allumé une cigarette de la manière la plus mondaine qu'il soit.

L’image s’ouvre montrant un homme en costume de soirée complet. Enlevant son chapeau et sa cape d’opéra, il laisse le chapeau sur la table et, par quelques passages, lui donne d’immenses proportions. Avant d’augmenter la taille du chapeau, il en prend une nappe, des serviettes, des couteaux et des fourchettes, ainsi que quelques plats. Ensuite, le chapeau est augmenté en taille et il en prend plusieurs chaises, après quoi les invités sont produits à partir du même chapeau, composé de deux hommes et deux femmes. Ils s’assoient à la table et se mettent à manger des bonnes choses fournies, lorsque le prestidigitateur saute en arrière sur la table, et dans l’excitation tout disparaît, le laissant comme il était avant avec le chapeau haut d’origine. La scène est si drôle que les images sur le mur prennent vie et semblent apprécier la situation à un point tel qu’elles tombent presque. Une fois que tout est redressé, le magicien s’incline hors de l’image.

Un prestidigitateur sort un mouchoir de la bouche de son assistant. Du mouchoir, il tire un grand aquarium, se sert du bras de son assistant comme pompe pour le remplir, puis fait sortir des poissons de sa bouche. L'eau et les poissons disparaissent pour laisser place à un homard qui laisse la sienne à une jolie fille habillée en clown. Puis il dédouble la fille, transforme les deux personnages en drapeaux, s'en habille et sort.
