James Isaac "Jimmy" Neutron is a title character and the main protagonist of the film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the spin-off TV series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. He lives with his pet robot, Goddard, and his parents, Hugh and Judy Neutron in Retroville. Jimmy appears as a typical boy who also happens to be a genius. He creates gadgets to improve his everyday life. The inventions often go awry and create hilarious trouble.
The Jimmy Neutron show had its world premiere on July 20, 2002 and ended on November 25, 2006.

Jimmy's mother only calls him by his full name. His father calls him "Jimbo" and Cindy Vortex (who secretly loves Jimmy) usually calls him "Nerdtron", "Spewtron", "King Cranium", and other names. He has two best friends, Carl Wheezer and Sheen Estevez.

One of his most captivating features is the fact that his cranium projects farther than normal which is to hold his large brain.

Jimmy, Carl, and Sheen went to a movie theater to watch a Jet Fusion movie. After the movie, they get more tickets to the movie. In school, Jimmy is called to go to the principal's office, only to find himself being taken to an organization called Big Top Secret Organization (BTSO for short). Commander Baker, the leader of the organization told Jimmy that their No. 1 agent Agent X is missing. His tracking device was buried somewhere in Pacific Ocean. The professor shows Jimmy his gadgets, but Jimmy prefers to use his own inventions.

The film starts off with a rocket carrying two boys and a robotic dog: Jimmy Neutron (Debi Derryberry), Carl Wheezer (Rob Paulsen) and Goddard (Frank Welker). Jimmy is attempting to launch a communications satellite made out of a toaster, hoping to communicate with an alien species he believes exists somewhere out in the universe. Unknown to anyone, the satellite is picked up near the planet Yolkus, home to an alien race called the Yolkians. King Goobot V (Patrick Stewart) and his assistant, Ooblar (Martin Short), watch a pre-recorded message from Jimmy, featuring him introducing himself and explaining about life on Earth.
