Alice Faye (May 5, 1915 – May 9, 1998) was an American actress and singer, called by The New York Times "one of the few movie stars to walk away from stardom at the peak of her career". She is often associated with the Academy Award–winning standard "You'll Never Know", which she introduced in the 1943 musical film Hello, Frisco, Hello.

Biography

Elle épousa l'acteur et chanteur Phil Harris.

Créditée de nombreuses interprétations de chansons au cinéma, elle fut l'interprète de You'll Never Know qui a obtenu l'Oscar de la meilleure chanson originale en 1944 dans le film Hello Frisco, Hello.

Elle fut notamment la remplaçante de Jean Harlow décédée pendant le tournage du film Saratoga en 1937, afin de pouvoir conclure celui-ci. Film dans lequel elle est filmée de dos.
