Andrej Aćin is a Serbian director, screenwriter and composer from Belgrade. In the 1990s, he fronted the gothic rock band BAAL. From 1992 until 1995, he worked as the music editor at the Belgrade Art television station, and, in 1997, he was enrolled at the Belgrade Art Academy on the department for film and television directing. He directed the theatre piece Pasija po telu (Passion on the Body), a semi-documentary Moj svet pun svetlosti (My World Full of Light) and the short movie Margina (Margin). In 2005, he appeared in the movie Bye Bye Blackbird, directed by Robinson Savary.

Josef (James Thiérrée) is a former construction worker who now works as a sweeper at the circus, and falls for the aerialist, Alice (Izabella Miko) and is befriended by the horseback performer, Nina (Jodhi May). One day, he defies death and gravity by doing an aerial display on the trapeze. When he is spotted by the big top’s owner, Lord Dempsey (Derek Jacobi), he is paired with Alice in a dangerous aerial display as part of a new act for the circus.

The main character Saša Gordić (Vuk Kostić) is a talented shooter who went footsteps of older brother Igor Gordić (Srđan Todorović), a 1991 Junior European shooting gold medallist. However, Igor has voluntarily gone to war in former Yugoslavia, from which he returned as a drug addict. In order to repay debt of local dealers, Igor is forced to sale their property sales, which their parents left them. So Saša decides to get revenge on everyone who destroyed life of his brother.
