Cheryl Yang (simplified Chinese: 杨谨华; traditional Chinese: 楊謹華; pinyin: Yáng Jǐnhuá; born December 12, 1977) is a Taiwanese actress. She joined the entertainment scene at the age of 14 when she filmed her first commercial. Cheryl officially joined the entertainment industry in November, 2001. Not long after she started her career, she had filmed a music video together with Andy Lau, whom was one of the most famous artist in the entertainment industry and also a Mode Marie lingerie commercial which made her become the center of attention in the industry. She rose to prominence when she filmed the Taiwanese drama My Queen in 2009 with actor Ethan Juan.

Ce film décrit l'histoire de la résistance de Formosa contre l'invasion japonaise (la plus grande guerre de l'histoire de Taïwan).Après la Sin-Japanese war de 1894, le gouvernement Qing a cédé Taïwan au japonais. Après avoir entendu les nouvelles, certains groupes de résistants s'organisent afin d'établir la république de Taïwan. Une fois les japonais arrivés au nord-est de Taïwan, les fonctionnaires fuient en Chine et Taipei est envahi sans effort. Trois jeunes gens, Tang-hsing We, Hsiang Hsu, Shao-tsu Chiang décident alors de mettre en place une guerilla pour faire face à l'armée japonaise.
