Junie Hoang is the stage name of Huong Hoang (Vietnamese Hoàng Hương), born in Saigon, Vietnam, a Vietnamese-American actress.
In 2011 she filed a lawsuit against the Internet Movie Database that alleged that IMDB had accessed her IMDB account information to obtain her true birth date, and then displayed it as part of the information on her entry as an actress. Her suit alleges that the use of her account information was wrongful and that publication of the information would cause her to suffer age discrimination in casting. Her lawsuit was originally filed under the name "Jane Doe", but her name was revealed in a subsequent court filing on January 6, 2012 after a federal judge in Seattle dismissed the original lawsuit, saying the actress had no grounds to proceed with an anonymous complaint. Two unions, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), said the site was "facilitating age discrimination".
Her film credits include Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver and Hoodrats 2: Hoodrat Warriors. Other credits include a part as a triage nurse in a television series ''I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant and the part of Janet in My Big Phat Hip Hop Family''.
In March 2013, U.S. District Judge Marsha J. The case goes to trial on April 9 on the remaining causes of action, including IMBD's alleged breach of contract, with IMDB as the sole defendant.
