Karan Wahi is an Indian actor and host. Wahi has played Under-19s national cricket for Delhi along with Indian international Cricketer Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. After shited to mumbai, wahi started his television career with the 2004 tv show Remix on Star One, where he played the lead role of Ranveer with co-star Shweta Gulati, for which he won GR8 Best new comer award.
In addition to his acting career, Wahi participates in stage shows, has hosted several awards and television shows including Red Carpet events, Nach Baliye 5 & 6.
In 2013, Wahi featured at number 46 in the UK newspaper Eastern Eye "Sexiest Asian Man on the Planet".

Gulrez "Gullu" Qadir (Parineeti Chopra) who lives in a lower-middle class Hyderabadi mohalla and works at a mall as a shoe-sales girl with dreams of going to America. She lives along with her father Abdul Qadir (Anupam Kher) who is looking for a suitable match for her but can't afford to pay big dowry, which will only get her some uncouth crude fellow. This doesn't make Gullu lose her optimism and humour. In her quest to find her Mr. Universe, she falls in love with Amjad (Karan Wahi) and they decide to get married. Things do not work out as Amjad's parents asks for 80 lakhs dowry. Enraged Gullu plans to trap a dowry-hungry groom under IPC498A (dowry act) and to recover lacs of money from him to fulfill her dream of going to America.
