This film fabricated the base for Aamir Khan's selection as the determined police officer in the blockbuster Sarfarosh which turned out to be one of Aamir Khan's best performances as a tough man.
Synopsis
The story opens with a group of people travelling in a bus. The bus is stopped on its way and a bunch of hooligans board the bus and create a nuisance when a man tricks them into getting off the bus. Later the bus stops for a tea break and the hooligans arrive at the same time when suddenly a passing convoy is attacked and the assassins try to kill the man inside one of the cars. The man using his swiftness foils the attack and manages to nab and arrest one of the attackers while killing another. The rest manage to escape the scene.Actors

The year is 1975, the place is Mahim, Bombay. This is the story of Tikku (Paresh Rawal), a eunuch, the only child of yesteryear Bollywood actress Nazneen Begum. She has fallen upon hard times, is virtually destitute and is dependent on Tikku, who does make-up/hair-dressing of Bollywood actresses. When she passes away, Tikku is beside himself with grief. After the funeral, he witnesses a woman leaving a child in a garbage bin. Tikku picks up the girl, longing for human company, decides to keep her, names her Tamanna, and brings her up on his own with the help of a close friend, Saleem (Manoj Bajpai).

A down and out actor, Deepak Bakshi (Deepak Tijori),chavan adhana who has claustrophobia,(a deep fear of enclosed spaces) goes to live as a care-taker in a multi-storied apartment, belonging to his friend (Jayant Kripalani), while he is away. In the small village of Champaner, (in the State of Gujarat, in western India) during the height of the British Empire in India in 1893, Captain Andrew Russell (Paul Blackthorne), the commanding officer of the Champaner cantonment, has imposed high taxes ("lagaan") on people from the local villages which they are unable to pay due to a prolonged drought. In a quaint rural village, an elderly man awaits the postman. He receives a card from his youngest grandson, Yogesh, and decides Yogesh will be his heir. Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey is about a teacher Surya Sen a.k.a. Masterda (played by Abhishek Bachchan), who is a well-known revolutionary leader of the Indian Republican Army Chittagong, who had an instinctual flair for Swaraj and Independence.
