Synopsis
João Flores, entrepreneur d'une compagnie théâtrale, dirige la vedette Boca de Caçap, l'ancienne assistante du clown Napoleão Josafá et chanteuse sans voix, Benedito. Il tente d'organiser leur revue dans une maison de théâtre, Virtuosa, réputée de Rio de Janeiro. Il tente de séduire la riche veuve, propriétaire de Virtuosa en lui demandant d'accepter le spectacle de son groupe d'artistes abandonné par un homme d'affaires malhonnête. Seulement, les choses se compliquent par la suite face à la poursuite des créanciers ou encore l'ancien homme d'affaires qui avait loué le théâtre, Galileu, qui cherche à empêcher João de réussir, souhaitant récupérer le théâtre dans des conditions plus avantageuses.Actors

Quatre amis, Didi, Dedé, Mussum et Zacarias gagnent leur vie grâce à la vente d'objets d'artisanat au bord de la route à Manaus. Des coups de feu surprennent les quatre vendeurs. Ils aperçoivent arriver de loin une voiture décapotable poursuivie par une autre voiture où à son bord, un homme tire la voiture avec son révolver. Dédé, Mussum, Zacarias et Augusto décident de poursuivre les deux voitures. Didi surprend les occupants de la voiture, ayant réussi miraculeusement à se trouver sur le toit de leur voiture. Le tireur les repère et vise Didi afin de les dissuader de les suivre. Armé son lance-pierre, Didi réplique en cassant la lunette arrière de la voiture des malfaiteurs. Au deuxième lancé, il réussit avec brio à éjecter le révolver de la main du tireur. Le chauffeur prête son révolver à son collègue mais qui sera de nouveau éjecter de sa main par l'exploit du lance-pierre de Didi.

Alice Fullerton is the 15-year-old daughter of newspaper publisher Bill. She becomes involved with a group of boy scouts, who is led by Ken Warren. Ken wants to put on a show to raise money in order to go to scout camp. Alice helps him out with giving him permission to use the family home to rehearse. She is very helpful to them and is eventually given permission to be a part of the act. Meanwhile, Bill offers the house to reporter Vince Bullit, who intends on finishing an article in peace and quiet. Alice fears for her new friends being kicked out of the house and decides to try to scare Vincent away.

In New York City in the early 1950s, Jerry Biffle (Phil Silvers) is the star of the Blendo Soap Program. He has been invited to participate in an autograph-signing party for his new book at an important department store. Jerry meets Sally Peters (Judy Lynn), one of the department store models, and makes her part of his TV troupe. As part of his campaign to court Sally, Jerry gets Cliff Lane (Danny Scholl), the tenor of his TV company, to sing to her over the phone.
