Strange Holiday is a 1970 Australian Television film.
Synopsis
Ten boys and a dog are shipwrecked on an island in the Pacific. After a storm they discover another boat has been shipwrecked on the island. They make friends with two of the survivors, a nurse and ship's carpenter, but discover there are three other survivors who are ruthless mutineers. The children manage to outwit the mutineers, the carpenter builds them a boat and they sail home.Actors

Two IRA hitmen are pursuing Riley (Michael Aitkens), because he killed one of their number. Riley is pursuing Eve (Carmen Duncan), a German former terrorist, who is on the run in Australia with her teenage daughter Chrissie (Annie Jones) and the proceeds of an old bank robbery in Germany. Emma and Dean are two high school students on a class trip to Trinidad to build a school for children and explore the island. The two have little in common. During a boat party, Emma falls overboard when the party is interrupted by a police raid, Dean jumps in the water to save her. The pair drifts in a dinghy to a deserted island, and their parents desperately search for them. Wondering if they will ever be rescued, Emma and Dean must rely on each other to survive. At first they're friends, but as time goes on their feelings start to blossom and it evolves into a romantic relationship. After being stuck for over 100 days, they are rescued by a tourist helicopter and taken back. They are met by family, friends, and the media. After Emma is thrust back into a more popular position in school, Dean still somewhat of an outcast, still longs for her. Emma attends the prom, and Dean eventually decides to go as well after being persuaded by his father. Emma and Dean kiss passionately there and dance.

In 1988 a US ballistic missile submarine, the USS Montana, sinks near the edge of the Cayman Trough after an accidental encounter with an unidentified submerged object. As Soviet ships and submarines head toward the area in an attempt to salvage the sub, and with a hurricane moving in, the Americans decide that the quickest way to mount a rescue is to insert a SEAL team onto the Deep Core, a privately owned, experimental underwater oil drilling platform, located 1,700 feet (518 meters) below sea level, which will serve as their base of operations. The designer of the platform, Dr. Lindsey Brigman, insists on accompanying the SEAL team, even though her estranged husband, Virgil "Bud" Brigman, is currently serving as the platform's foreman.

The luxury liner SS Crescent Star sinks in seven minutes after striking a rogue mine in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, taking with her nearly all of the 1156 people on board. The story picks up 15 years after the original shipwreck. Gilligan has a nightmare about the island melting. The film then notes that far away from Gilligan's Island in an unidentified country (one may assume the U.S.S.R.), a military unit is monitoring a satellite that is experiencing technical problems. The scientists controlling the satellite activate a self-destruct mechanism to prevent the satellite from crashing to Earth, as it contains a disc that holds some very important, top-secret information. The metal disc from the satellite is not destroyed, instead making it through the Earth's atmosphere and landing at the lagoon, eventually being found by Gilligan.
