Synopsis
Friends and future seventh-year (upper primary school) students Sofie, Amanda and Emma anxiously await the start of term. This is virtually no major change education-wise, but a social watershed moment when cliques come into play, more or less serious relationships start being developed, and students, to hear them tell it, leave behind childish things to move into their teens; certainly the three girls are confident in how grown up they now are.Actors

Début des années 1960. Copains depuis l'âge de 7 ans, Niila et Matti vivent à Pajala, bourgade paumée du nord de la Suède. Il ne s'y passe jamais rien, sauf quelques tensions entre Suédois et Finlandais de souche, la majorité d'entre eux parlant un étrange volapük. Ici, les "vrais hommes" lèvent bien le coude, chassent l'élan et font beaucoup d'enfants qu'ils n'hésitent pas à battre pour leur apprendre le respect de Dieu. Tout change le jour où Niila échange la bible de sa grand-mère contre un 45-tours des Beatles. Avec leur nouveau professeur de musique, lui et Matti décident de monter un groupe de rock... Une tragi-comédie exquise et très rythmée, qui joue sur une multitude de registres : on y trouve à la fois le côté chronique adolescente du Péril jeune de Cédric Klapisch, le psychédélisme d'Emir Kusturica, le laconisme d'Aki Kaurismaki et les doutes d'Ingmar Bergman. L'occasion aussi de revoir la sublime Kati Outinen, qui interprète la mère de Niila.

An antropomorphic dog named Sture is talked into taking a trip to Paris by his friend Picasso. After a series of misfortunes they end up in Scotland instead, staying at a mysterious hotel. Picasso remains ignorant and believes they are in Paris. Sture befriends the novelist Miss Mops and gets to meet several mysterious characters living in the hotel as strange events revolving around an Egyptian artifact start to take place.

Depuis le décès de sa femme et son licenciement, Ove se sent vieux et terriblement inutile. À longueur de journée, il erre dans sa maison comme une âme en peine. 20 years after Magnus Edkvist (Björn Kjellman) graduated from the ninth grade in Hagsätra, he gets an invitation to a class reunion. He declines the invitation, because he doesn't want to relive some of the most embarrassing moments of his life. Magnus rather stays home with his wife Lollo (Cecilia Frode) and his daughter. But when Magnus starts to think about his teenage crush, Hillevi (Inday Ba), and whether she will go or not. He decides to go to the reunion, in hope that Hillevi will show up.

Nige (Bret McKenzie) and Deano (Hamish Blake) are two childhood friends who live in Invercargill in the South Island of New Zealand. However, estrangement has since resulted, because Nige has stopped flatting with Deano over concerns about Nige's self-perceived emotional dependence on his friend, and moved in with a third friend, Gav (Maaka Pohatu). However, Nige inadvertently runs over a Norwegian backpacker with his unreliable Ford Laser and kills him, and enlists the assistance of Deano to conceal the body, although not without ambivalence from Deano due to his 'abandonment' issues after Nige terminated their earlier flatting cohabitation. The film also deals with the consequently bungled and incompetent police investigation into the comedy of errors that produced this chain of events, with humorous consequences.

The film is based around the life of Mona Berglund, a mother-of-four obsessed with the Eurovision Song Contest - so much so, that her house is decorated with posters of her idols, and she has named her children after Swedish Eurovision performers: Kikki, Anna Book, Lena PH and Carola. Her partner Bosse is unemployed, and she is left to feed the family. Her brother, Candy, is a transvestite and an AIDS-sufferer who designs clothes. David, Mona's employer, a cerebral palsy-sufferer, is a proficient songwriter however, and composes a song which Mona steals and sends a demo of (with her own lyrics) into Melodifestivalen, the Swedish heats for the Eurovision contest. Much to Mona's delight, the song qualifies for the finals. Mona's new-found fame takes her to unexpected places, including a TV interview, and an invitation to lunch at Berns. Throughout, the film, though, Mona is torn as to whether she should reveal that she was not in fact the only writer of her song, and thus risk losing the public's support.

A church is burning. Firefighters rescues several people from the fire. But left in the Church is Eva (Josefin Nilsson), a blonde girl dressed as the Saint Lucia. One of the firefighters, Adam (Björn Kjellman), returns to the church to save her. They unite in a kiss and the ending credits starts rolling. After the credits are done you hear Adam ask, "Is it over now?". Four years later, Adam is sitting at the breakfast table thinking that the relationship is routine. Everything is predictable. Eva wants a baby and buy a house but Adam is not willing to take responsibility. He is afraid of being a regular Joe as his brother Sven (Reine Brynolfsson). Adam and Eva celebrates midsummer with Sven's family and friends. A lot of people have their kids with them. Åke (Jacob Ericksson) starts singing songs with dirty lyrics. Sven stops him, whereupon Åke goes away in protest to sit down and talk with Eva. At night, Adam meets Sven's and his wife Kicki's (Katrin Sundberg) young nanny Jackie (Dubrilla Ekerlund).
