The Universal Language est un nouveau documentaire du réalisateur nominé aux Oscars Sam Green (The Weather Underground). Ce film de 30 minutes retrace l'histoire de l'espéranto, une langue artificielle créée à la fin des années 1800 par un ophtalmologiste polonais qui croyait que si tout le monde parlait une langue commune, l'humanité pourrait vaincre le racisme et la guerre. À juste titre, le mot « espéranto » signifie « celui qui espère ».

In order to win the favors of Britain, the King orders a sumptuous reception and delegates Anna to organize it. During the reception, the King verbally spars graciously and wittily with Sir Mycroft Kincaid (Bill Stewart), of the East India Company, who accuses Siam of being a superstitious nation. At the end of the reception, the King dances with Anna.

Au fil du temps, les petits-enfants découvriront chez leur grand-père, que derrière ce personnage bourru se cache une personne pleine de surprises, ancien hippie et motard ayant parcouru le monde entier avant de se retirer et de cultiver des oliviers. Les vacances ne s'annonceront pas si désastreuses que cela, entre les moments en famille et les rencontres et premières amourettes au village, le pizzaiolo pour la jeune fille, les belles touristes suédoises pour le plus grand. Quant au tout petit, il n'aura d'yeux que pour son grand-père, et ce malgré ses fêlures et son net penchant pour l'alcool.
