Neal Acree (born on July 11, 1974) is a composer of film, television, and video game music. He has scored 25 feature films, contributed music to the popular Blizzard Entertainment video games StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, Diablo III, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. His television work includes the series Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Witchblade and the first season of Sanctuary.

John "Falcon" Chapman is a United States Marine Corps veteran who suffers from posttraumatic stress disorder. After playing Russian roulette, he enters a convenience store moments before it is robbed. He demands one of the robbers shoot him, and when the man hesitates, Chapman grows impatient, disarms the robbers, and foils the robbery. When he meets with his sister, Cindy, who has briefly returned to New York for a wedding, she chastises him for not taking his medication and explains that she is returning to Brazil, where she has been doing charity work for a non-profit. Chapman receives word from Manny Ridley, a fellow veteran and diplomat, that his sister has been severely beaten. Chapman immediately leaves for Brazil.

In a long corridor of an underground bunker, several prisoners are marching under armed guard. As they approach the door at the end of the corridor, one prisoner seizes his chance to assault a guard, but the door opens almost immediately and several German soldiers step through to mow down the entire group, save for one prisoner who remains standing. The guards grab him and force him through the door, where he is placed on an operating table and held down as a drip is inserted into his arm and blood pumped into his veins. He stops moving for a short time before his eyes blink open revealing his irises have become zombified-white.

After professional thief Jack Tulliver and his crew pull off a meticulously planned armored car heist, they are ambushed in Bucharest by a group of Romanian racketeers. Tulliver escapes with a mysterious sealed case that was the most valuable part of the stolen loot. After car-jacking Sgt. Kelly Anders' car, he makes a getaway through Bucharest, but leaves Anders under the suspicion of her fellow officers. Meanwhile, Tulliver tries to save a team member who has been captured by Alexie Kutchinov, a sadistic Russian millionaire gangster in charge of the Romanian racketeers that ambushed Tulliver. Jack and Sgt. Anders are saved by Bull's brother Mikail Mercea, a Romanian mobster who shoots Alexie to avenge his brother's death. In 1592 Romania, villagers tormented by an evil demon ultimately succeed in sealing the creature away in a tomb, until a series of earthquakes in 2004 finally unleashes the evil thought to have vanished from the earth forever. The movie takes place in the present day, when a policeman obtains one of the halves, and gives it to his brother to figure out. The policeman is then captured by a mobster who was looking for the treasure, who then forces him to come to the island to help him find it. Meanwhile, his brother hires a small plane (with a female pilot and two incidental passengers) to take him to the island, but a storm ends up stranding everyone. The two groups are forced to survive in the jungle while also clashing with each other.
