Wilma Tuttle (Young) is a college professor who arouses the sexual interest of her student Bill Perry (Douglas Dick). When Perry tries to rape Tuttle, she beats him to death with a tire iron. She covers up her crime by making it seem as though Perry was killed while diving into the sea from a precipitous cliff. As she follows the police investigation of Perry's death, Wilma realizes that she'll never be able to escape her conscience, especially when she falls in love with Warren Ford (Cummings), the dead boy's guardian.

Elmer équipé d'un détecteur de lapin, tombe sur Bugs qui le fait tomber d'un précipice. Les deux personnages se poursuivent jusqu'à un opéra, où Bugs dérange le public en ayant le hoquet, puis en allant chercher une carotte avant de tomber sur Elmer qui se fait frapper par Bugs déguisé en vieille dame. Le chasseur se fait jeter dehors lorsqu'il se fait remarquer en voulant assommer Bugs.

Cattle rustlers Robert Hightower (John Wayne), Pedro "Pete" Rocafuerte (Pedro Armendáriz), and William Kearney (Harry Carey, Jr.) rob a bank in the town of Welcome, Arizona, but Kearney suffers a bullet wound and they have to flee into the desert, pursued by the posse of Sheriff Buck Sweet (Ward Bond), who puts a bullet in their water bag. They eventually lose their horses in a desert storm and end up walking. In their search for water, they come across a water hole, which has, however, been destroyed by the misguided efforts of a bumbling tenderfoot. In his covered wagon left nearby lies his wife (actually Sheriff Sweet's niece), who is pregnant and about to give birth. With the help of the trio, she has a boy, whom she names Robert William Pedro after her benefactors. Before dying, she extracts a promise from his three godfathers that they will take care of him. Moved by her plight, the three desperados uphold their promise despite the acute lack of water.

Mickey et Pluto sont en voyage en Amérique du Sud. Mickey entre dans une échoppe de souvenirs et laisse Pluto ronger un énorme os. Un petit chien local, un chihuahua brun, décide de prendre l'os de Pluto. Il y parvient et court vers un bosquet de cactus très dense. Pluto ne peut le suivre en raison de sa corpulence. Mais Pluto se force à pénêtrer dans le bosquet par le dessus. Le petit chien viendra à son secours.
