After the tragic death of her dad, Dr. Rekha continues to live with her step-mother in Bombay, where she runs a Mental Institute. While traveling by train one night, they are accosted by a knife wielding escaped mental patient, Sunil, whose aggression is calmed by Rekha. She gets him admitted into her hospital where he is put under observation and treatment at the hands of Dr. Mathur and herself. He soon starts responding positively under their care, and is on his way to recovery. Once he saves Rekha from being molested in a parking lot, and this sparks romance between the two. All is set for the two to get engaged at a lavish party. It is at this party that Rekha will find out that Sunil is not who he claims to be, and subsequently Sunil will also find out that Rekha has a dark secret in her recent past - a secret for which she is being blackmailed by a man named Tiger - and a secret that may well expose her as a murderess.

Rajesh Khanna is in love with Mumtaz in their college days. Sooraj (Sooraj Pancholi) is a gangster from Mumbai who meets Radha (Athiya Shetty), daughter of city's Chief of Police during a party . Sooraj, under instructions from his gangster father, Pasha (Aditya Pancholi), kidnaps Radha because Radha's father brought evidence against Pasha in court, and kidnaps Radha in the guise of a police officer, by telling her that he received instructions from the police to take her away from city as there is a threat that Pasha and his gang will kidnap Radha unless they move for some time. During these days they slowly fall in love. One day the police tracks them and Sooraj and Radha escape but Sooraj is shot in the arm when trying to jump over a broken bridge and they both fall in water . Later they are rescued by a group of monks but it is said that Radha and Sooraj are dead to Radha's father. Sooraj is unconscious . After a couple of days Sooraj is conscious when Radha tells about her love to him. Later he confesses to Radha that he had kidnapped her. Radha has however fallen in love with Sooraj. Radha tells Sooraj to surrender and Sooraj is sent to jail for 2 years . During that time Radha's brother Dheeraj (Sharad Kelkar) asks her to go to Paris .
