Synopsis
Story revolves around characters from different walks of life who soon get involved with each other - millionaires, goons. Raja (Sunil Shetty) is a small time good hearted goon who does what he wants without any regard for cops or criminals, thus making him an enemy of underworld don Dhanraj. Suraj is another small time goon who also does good for people and lives with his girlfriend Bindiya, trying to make a living by working against criminals, thus falling into Dhanraj's bad books too. And Dhanraj's arch rival is JAgtap. News one day reaches them that a millionaire Laxman Singh's (Arun Bakshi) niece, Kiran is coming from the U.S. and has a ring worth 2.5 million. It is also known that Prince Vijay, nephew of Laxman Singh's closest friend Vikram Singh (Achyut Potdar), is coming from London to wed Kiran.Actors

Lalchand Dogra lives in a palatial house with his wife, Anjana, and three sons, Sunny, Raj, and Jay. Due to circumstances beyond their control, all get separated, with Lalchand himself ending up serving time in prison for several years. Judge Jagdish Verma (Raza Murad) has an accused by the name of Yogi Shankar (Kiran Kumar) in his courtroom. Judge Verma was once Yogi's defence lawyer, but now must pass a sentence against him. Yogi pleads his innocence, but the Judge finds him guilty, and Yogi is sentenced to a long term (7 years) in jail. Yogi swears to avenge this injustice and humiliation. Judge Verma's family consists of Urmila (Beena Banerjee), two sons, Kunal and Karan (Sunil Shetty and Saif Ali Khan respectively), and a daughter Tina (Madhoo). Yogi serves out his term and is released from jail, seeking revenge against Juge Verma and his family. He abducts young Tina and plans to use her to control the judge and his judgments. The family is instructed not to contact the police, for the safety of Tina, and to keep this abduction a secret. Tina grows up in the company of Yogi and his men, without knowing her biological family. Tina is then used to ensnare the family into more deceit and entrapment under the direction of Yogi, leaving the Verma family no choice but to go along with Yogi's plan.

In 1840, a girl named Amiran (Bansree Mandhani) is kidnapped from her home in Faizabad by Dilawar Khan (Vishwajeet Pradhan) who had been sent to jail based upon the evidence presented by Amiran's father. LOC Kargil opens with a dramatic shot of an Indian soldier's wireless set chirping frantic commands from one of the army bases, calling a patrol to report in, while the radio operator lies dead in the snow. After frantic attempts from battalions to locate their lost patrols, the Indian Army HQ in Jammu and Kashmir decides to deploy more troops. They suffer a rude shock when company and even battalion-sized attacks are beaten back by the largely unknown enemy sitting on top of the steep and treacherous peaks surrounding Kargil, Mushkoh Valley, Drass, Batalik and the Kaksar sectors. After these terrible and surprising reverses, the decision is taken to go ahead with maximum mobilisation and move its best fighting units into the area of operations.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has assigned the case of three terrorists to Akram Sheikh (Sunil Shetty). The three terrorists are two brothers Ali and Abbas Ramani (Sanjay Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan) and their common girlfriend Laila (Isha Koppikar). As a part of a plan hitched by a corrupt Pakistani general, Ali, Abbas and Laila hitch a plan to extort money from the Indian government. They take control of Elphinston Jail, in the city of Mumbai and using the help of a corrupt scientist, Gopal (Chunky Pandey) (a part of a team headed by Rahul (Aashish Chaudhary), investigating the effects of a deadly virus which could kill any living organism within a 3-kilometer radius.), they load three missiles with the virus. They then take a group of 213 tourists hostage in the jail and demand a ransom of 1500 crores from the government within 24 hours, failing which they will release the missile into major water bodies in Mumbai, thus creating an apocalypse (Qayamat).

Raja Mishra (Saif Ali Khan) gatecrashes into a marriage while trying to escape from a brawl. The bride's cousin, Rudra Tripathi (Jimmy Shergill), and Raja form a friendship upon Raja revealing that he is a uninvited guest. While in process of seducing the mujra dancer, Raja overhears a plot by Lallan Tiwari (Chunky Pandey) to execute everyone in the wedding upon instructions from a land lord wanting to use Rudra's uncle's land for poppy farming. Raja warns everyone about the impending attack and Raja and Rudra fight off the attacking Lallan Singh's gang. Rudra's uncle (Sharat Saxena) sees the potential in Raja and Rudra forming an alliance for offering protection to political personalities and offers them to join his gang. Not wanting to enter the world of politics, they refuse and Rudra's uncle advices them to take refuge from Lallan's gang in jail. In a later incident Rudra's uncle is killed by the poppy field owner with help of Lallan Singh.

Avantika Ahuja (Kareena Kapoor) who lives in the United States returns to Delhi after her father has a cardiac arrest. While in Delhi she meets Ehsaan Khan (Saif Ali Khan), a University professor from Mumbai. Being in the same career field at the same place, love blossoms between the two.
