It was written, filmed, and edited all within a six-month period, and made its premiere at the Columbia University Film Festival in April, 2011. The film was financed mostly through grants and equipment sponsors through programs from William F. Whites and production services in Toronto.
Synopsis
Set up as a love story about city girl Sydney, a relapsed drug addict who is convinced to journey to a country cabin by her fiancé Tom, in order to clean up. However, their plans of rehabilitation are suddenly made moot when an avalanche buries them alive. Trapped in a small pocket of air, the two soon realize that any attempt to free Sydney will bury and kill Tom. Sydney, who has slowly been killing herself with drugs, has to decide if she is finally willing to live, and at the expense of her beloved.Comments

Trois ermites aînés, Charlie (Gilbert Sicotte), Tom (Rémy Girard) et Boychuck (Kenneth Welsh), vivent dans la forêt de l'abitibienne, isolés du reste du monde. Après la mort de l'ermite aîné, Boychuck, peintre à ses heures, les deux hommes font une découverte étonnante : des centaines de peintures faisant écho à sa tragique expérience liée à des incendies de forêt qui menacent la région. Aux funérailles de leur compagnon, les deux hommes font la rencontre de Gertrude (Andrée Lachapelle), qui fut internée à l'âge de 16 ans pour des motifs religieux. Gertrude veut fuir la clinique médicale et aboutit chez Charlie et Tom qui se rebutent au début ; nouvelle vie, nouvelle identité, Gertrude devient Marie-Desneige. S'en suit un idylle amoureuse touchante et lumineuse.

Renouncing her sinful past Emanuelle (Laura Gemser) moves into a convent and becomes a nun, dedicating her life to religion and rejecting sin. Monika (Mónica Zanchi) a free-spirited daughter of a rich Baron joins the convent. She tells one sister how she was sexually assaulted by a group of young men (from a flashback sequence we learn that she actually consented and encourages them to make advances at her by revealing her breasts); this gains her sympathy from her fellow sisters. Monika has sex and performs various sex acts with various men in and around the convent. Various nuns witness this causing them to question their faith and break their repression. Monika has a sexual relationship with another sister and blackmails her (by refusing sex) if she does not comply with her demands. Later a mysterious man, armed with a gun visits the convent. He has sex with Monika; witnessed by most nuns in the convent. Monika is later dismissed. Emanuelle later leaves at her own free-will.

Bruno Stroszek (Bruno S.) is a Berlin street performer. Released from prison and warned to stop drinking, he immediately goes to a familiar bar where he comforts Eva (Eva Mattes), a prostitute down on her luck, and lets her stay with him at the apartment his landlord kept for him. They are then harried and beaten by Eva's former pimps, who insult Bruno, pull his accordion apart and humiliate him by making him kneel on his grand piano with bells balanced on his back. The plot concerns the black-clad Legion of the Winged Serpent, a rogue group of human-like telepathic aliens led by Captain Rameses (Christopher Lee).
