The movie starts with Barbie filming a movie called The Princess and the Pea based on the classic story by Hans Christian Andersen, but she is fired when she questions the director's innovations. After reading unkind comments about her on the Internet and beginning to doubt her future as an actress, Barbie receives a phone call from Ken, saying that he wants to break up with her immediately. Advised by her best friends, Teresa and Grace, to get away for a while, Barbie goes to Paris to visit her Aunt Millicent, who runs a fashion house.

Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor are both nominated for the Man of the Year award, and Wayne wins. As he is making his speech, the Joker breaks in with the Riddler, Harley Quinn, the Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Bane, Catwoman, and steals the award, as well as money and gems. Batman arrives and stops everyone except the Joker, who escapes on his boat, but Robin's helicopter picks up Batman. When the rope holding Batman is broken, he calls in the Batwing and defeats the Joker. Meanwhile, Luthor is running for president, but his poll figures are terrible. He learns that the Joker knows how to produce more Kryptonite, and can make a gas that makes people love him, which will help Luthor win the election and defeat Superman. He breaks the Joker out of Arkham Asylum and promises him the use of Luthor's De-Constructor weapon to defeat Batman by dismantling all his gadgets and vehicles.

The film takes place in one room and stars the toy of the title, a mechanical one-man band named Tinny, and a baby named Billy. At first Tinny is delighted at the prospect of being played with by Billy until he sees how destructive he can be. Fleeing beneath the couch, Tinny discovers dozens of other toys who are too terrified to come out as they went through the same experience. But then Billy falls flat on the hardwood floor and starts crying. Tinny feels ashamed of himself, and decides he has to help no matter what. His antics succeed in cheering Billy up, to the point where Billy picks him up and shakes him violently before throwing him away. Once the toy has recovered from this ordeal, he is annoyed to see that Billy has forgotten about him and is now playing with the cardboard box and bag that he came out of. Billy walks off with the bag on his head, wandering around the room with Tinny following while the credits roll. At the end of the credits, Billy and Tinny walk out the door of the room and a few other toys come out of hiding to run across the floor.

Lumina est une magnifique sirène qui a le pouvoir de faire briller les perles. Elle et sa meilleure amie, Kuda, rêvent de devenir des princesses et de voir le château. Des années après, Lumina a maintenant 17 ans. Caligo décide de mettre en place un plan pour que le roi Nereus et la reine Lorelei soient empoisonnés et qu'il devienne le roi et non son fils. Pour cela, Caligo veut que Scylla les empoisonne. Il envoie Murray, une anguille, pour lui donner une invitation afin qu'elle puisse entrer au bal. Scylla dit à Lumina qu'elle s'en va en ville pour vendre ses potions, mais elle oublie son invitation. Lumina découvre que Scylla est invitée au bal, mais sait que celle-ci ne peut entrer sans invitation. Lumina et Kuda décident alors de la lui apporter. Elles arrivent en ville et Lumina devient coiffeuse au Salon La Mer de Madame Ruckus. Le salon reçoit des invitations pour le bal : un rêve pour Lumina ! Au cours du bal, le plan de Caligo marche, mais Lumina utilise son pouvoir pour sauver le royaume. Elle découvre que ce pouvoir est un don royal, et que cela signifie qu'elle est la véritable princesse de Seagundia. Ses parents, le roi et la reine, l'accueillent dans sa nouvelle maison, le palais, avec Scylla et Kuda.
