Dhoom (English: Blast) is a 2004 Indian action thriller film written by Vijay Krishna Acharya and directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol, and Rimi Sen in lead roles.
Dhoom was the first action film produced by Yash Raj Films in 16 years, since Yash Chopra directed Vijay (1988). It tells the story of motorbike gangs in Mumbai and the police officer who teams up with a motorbike dealer to stop them.
Earning over ₹290 million (US$4 4 million) Nett Gross in India, the film became one of the top-grossing Hindi films of 2004. It spawned a film series, with its sequel Dhoom 2, released on 24 November 2006, and Dhoom 3 released on 20 December 2013.
Synopsis
The story starts in the city of Mumbai where a motorbike gang starts breaking into banks and other public places and vanishing on Western Express Highway.Actors

The world's oldest desert in Namibia; A solitary railway line & A royal family on a royal journey. Mr. A (Hrithik Roshan) sky-dives and lands on a train that is carrying the Queen. Sonia (Minissha Lamba) lives with her mother, Mallika (Vidya Malvade) and grandmother (Reema Lagoo); her parents had divorced when she was ten. In the year 1990, Iqbal Haroon Khan (Jackie Shroff) runs The Great Indian Circus in Chicago, which has fallen on bad times. Anderson's (Andrew Bicknell) bank — Western Bank of Chicago —, which has lent money to Iqbal Khan, decides to close down the circus when Khan is unable to repay the loan. Young Sahir (Siddharth Nigam), the little son of Iqbal Khan, pleads with Anderson not to shut down his father's circus, as he and his father would soon be able to turn the corner. But Iqbal Khan's presentation before the bankers and Sahir's pleas don't help. Iqbal Khan commits suicide in front of the heartless Anderson, leaving Sahir devastated.

Lallan Singh (Abhishek Bachchan) is a goon, originally from Bihar but settled in Kolkata, West Bengal because his brother Gopal Singh (Sonu Sood) has left him alone and he had no option of earning back home. Michael is in love with his neighbour Radhika (Esha Deol) who lives with her uncle and aunt. And then there is Arjun (Vivek Oberoi), carefree and spoiled son of an IAS officer. He wants to relocate to the U.S. for a better future. He falls in love with Mira (Kareena Kapoor), whom he just met. One day, Arjun and Mira get into a quarrel on the road and Mira gets into an auto. Arjun gets lift from Michael to catch up with Mira, who is going that way. Suddenly, Michael is hit by a bullet and he is saved by Arjun. After talking to Michael, Arjun changes his mind and wants to be a politician. Prosenjit is worried when he hears news of students standing in the election. He uses every possible way to get them out of Politics.Firstly he provides scholarship of a prestigious foreign university to Michael. When Michael refuses the bribe, he orders his goon Gopal Singh to take control. Gopal beats some students but faces very strong retaliation from Michael and his fellow students. After that Lallan Singh takes charge and kills Gopal. He kidnaps Arjun and other candidates. However, they manage to escape with the help of Lallan Singh's ally. Lallan follows Arjun and beats him up. While running, Arjun manages to call Michael for help. He comes to rescue Arjun at Howrah Bridge.

Two British nationals are killed by a ferocious tiger in Orbit National Park in India. This incident follows several other tiger attacks, and many deaths result, prompting National Geographic to send a correspondent, Krish Thapar (John Abraham) to the national park and ascertain what really happened.
