Synopsis
Trois jeunes artistes féminines cherchent à s'émanciper de leur père prestidigitateur sous prétexte que ce dernier détournerait une partie de leurs gains (en réalité pour donner libre cours à de vains et chimériques espoirs de gloire et de dépravation charnelle), et s'opposent à l'histoire d'amour de ce dernier avec une femme plus jeune que lui.Actors

La jeune et riche veuve M Lam (Chui Chi-Suk) doit affronter deux cambrioleurs professionnels rivaux, opérant sous les pseudonymes de Telosma (Lily Ho) et Sir Night (Ling Yun). Working her way on board a liner traveling through the Panama Canal Zone, as a hairdresser, Maggie King meets a brash young soldier, "Skid" Johnson on his last day in the army and reluctantly agrees to a date to celebrate. She discovers Skid's amazing prowess with a trumpet while celebrating at a nightclub. The two become involved in a nightclub brawl, which causes Maggie to miss her ship back to the States. In Broome in 1969, Willie Johnson (Rocky McKenzie) is having trouble wooing his girl Rosie (Jessica Mauboy), who ends up with a bandleader named Lester (Dan Sultan). His mother Theresa (Ningali Lawford) sends him back to boarding school in Perth to continue his education for the priesthood. One night, he and several others steal food from the college kitchen but are caught. Willie admits to being the thief, but runs away before he can be punished. He spends the night on the streets of Perth before meeting up with 'Uncle' Tadpole (Ernie Dingo), who offers to help him get home. They go to Fremantle where Tadpole allows himself to be run over by a Kombi van, hoping that the two hippies inside will help him. Not realising how far it will be to Broome, the hippies, 'Slippery' the German (Tom Budge) and Annie (Missy Higgins), his girlfriend, agree to drive them.

The film begins with three furry aliens--the blue Mac (Goldblum), the yellow Zeebo (Wayans), and the red Wiploc (Carrey)--traveling in a space ship. In the year 1919, the Opéra Populaire holds a public auction to clear the theatre's vaults. The Vicomte de Chagny purchases a papier-mâché music box in the shape of a monkey and eyes it sadly as Madame Giry, an aged woman dressed in black, watches him. The auctioneer then presents a shattered chandelier as the next item up for bid, explaining that it once played a key role in "the strange affair of the Phantom of the Opéra." As the chandelier is displayed for all to see, it flickers to life and slowly ascends to its original place in the rafters as the audience is transported back in time to the year 1870.
