Ace, a wannabe rock star, is on his way to a concert of the band Guitar Wolf when space aliens invade the Earth. As a result the dead rise to their feet in the countryside setting of Asahi, Chiba, with an appetite for flesh. Enlisting the help of his rock 'n roll blood brother Guitar Wolf, Ace and the members of the band get entangled in many misadventures with crazy rock managers in very tight shorts, transsexuals, naked women shooting guns in the shower, and bloodthirsty zombies ready to tear them apart. Leather jackets, loud over-modulated music, laser guitar picks, motorcycles, guns, muscle cars, and fire abound. Guitar Wolf, a Japanese trio signed to Matador Records in the US—and self-proclaimed coolest rock band in the world—star as the well-coiffed heroes. It is also a love story, between Ace and Tobio, a trans woman.

Mike (Michael Shulman) is a young man who feels he does not belong on Earth. He tries to win the heart of his friend Katelyn (Erika Christensen) by helping out with the Halloween Dance, which is sabotaged by his rival, Scott. Upset, Mike sends a message into space asking to be rescued from Earth, unaware that his message has been heard. Soon a diverse range of aliens come to Earth with various offers for Mike, only to find he has changed his mind after Katelyn gives him another chance.

13-year-old Ben Cooper and his family are struggling to balance household chores, school and work. Ben is the family caretaker, a role inherited from his deceased mother. Always busy taking care of everyone else, he has no time to be a kid. He doesn't even have much time for basketball, his favorite sport. When Ben sees that a Smart House is being given away, he enters the competition as often as he can. The family wins the house (named Pat), and is introduced to its creator, Sara Barnes. Ben, his single father, Nick Cooper, and his little sister, Angie Cooper, move into the house. To Ben's chagrin his father and Sara begin to date. Ben begins to reprogram Pat, which becomes dangerous due to Pat's learning capabilities. He wants to lighten Pat up and make her a substitute mother. Ben and Angie have a party while Nick and Sara are on a date. With Pat's help, Ben wins over his crush and Pat gets rid of his bully for good. However, Nick starts to arrive home before they can clean up. Pat helps them cover up the party so they won't get punished, but Nick finds the sweater of a girl who was at the party and figures it out anyway. As Pat's personality begins to radically change, the family starts to resent her. Eventually Pat traps the family in the house, believing that the outside world is too dangerous. Sara manages to make contact with Ben and he agrees to help her get in. Although she manages to get in through the newspaper chute, she becomes trapped with the Cooper family. As they protest Pat's lock-down, she appears as a hologram resembling a 1950s housewife. Ben is able to end the lock-down by telling Pat that she isn't real and will never be human. Pat finally unlocks the doors and windows, freeing them and shuts herself down. Sara is then able to reboot Pat and restore her original personality; however, Pat retains some mischievousness as she is shown to have added chocolate chips to the breakfast waffles. Sara and Nick start dating and Nick spends more time with his family. Ben finally accepts Sara after realizing she was never trying to replace his mother. Ben starts being a regular kid again, going out for basketball (with Pat helping him practice) and hanging out with his friends again.

The film is set in a fictitious past, in which space travel is pioneered by roughnecks. The logic of space travel is not addressed, and most technology was designed for the film to appear as if "it could be repaired with a hammer". Samuel Curtis, an interplanetary trader, is approached by an acquaintance of his, the Blueberry Pirate, with a mission. He is to provide the women of Venus with a new king for mating. In exchange for this new stud, they will relinquish their currently deceased king, whose family is offering an immense reward for his body. Curtis sets off in search of the perfect replacement, the Boy Who Actually Saw a Woman's Breast, and soon discovers that his old nemesis Professor Hess is hot on his trail.

It’s Christmas Eve and the staff of the adult video store, Amazing Video, are settling in for a long night. As the night goes on, the gang is confronted by wacky customers including a dildo-craving Rastafarian, a Borscht Belt comedian, a K-Y jelly-eating space alien, the man in black tailing him and his partner, a chicken. Dean and Christian perform the musical number "You Can Have Sex With Anything You Want". Everyone gets involved when a mad bomber learns that the Price is Right girls are better than Viagra. Finally, Dyanna Lauren and Moby lead the porn geeks and employees in a rousing rendition of "Feliz Navidad" before everyone heads to Joe’s for tofurkey.

Max Fleming is a grad student who developed a powerful cloning machine for the egotistical Dr. Jonas who steals all the credit and leaves his student to toil in obscurity. During the interview, Kate accidentally cuts herself, and a few drops of her blood get on one of the cloning samples. The film begins off with a Star Wars-styled title crawl. After the credits, the film cuts to the USS Consolationprize (EEK-U812) being attacked by a spacecraft resembling a Star Destroyer. We are then introduced to the ship's crew, Captain Kwirk and Mr. Spuck. A menacing figure named Dark Vapor then appears telling them that they are to be captured as part of the Rebellious Alliance. Upon realizing that the rest of the crew won't appear due to budget cuts, they escape in a shuttlecraft, and land on Earth, in the year 2001. They climb over a ridge to find a monolith, which belongs to a cigar-smoking Star Child. He says his monolith is broken and the universe is falling apart because of it. He states it's up to Kwirk and Spuck to repair it. They are also told that the dark smell of the force wants to steal the monolith for its power. But both sides can summon any warrior from any universe (with Mr. Spuck's "tape recorder") to help their side of the fight.

The film tells the story of two good friends and housemates, Andrew, an agoraphobic travel agent, and Dave, a loser who works in an office. For the past 13 years, Dr. Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs) has been serving a prison sentence due to a murder at the hands of one of his zombies. With what scant supplies he has on hand in the prison medical center, Dr. West has been capable of performing only extremely basic experiments on rats. However, his lack of supplies does not prevent him from uncovering a key element in his re-animation process. Dr. West has discovered "NPE" (Nano-Plasmic Energy), an energy that can be extracted from the brain of a living organism through an electrocution-like process, to be stored in a capsule resembling a small light bulb. The capsule can then be connected to a corpse and used in conjunction with West's previously developed reagent to restore the former dead to a lifelike state. The NPE prevents the degeneration seen in previous instances, where the reanimated are nothing more than mindless zombies. Used together with the re-agent, reanimated corpses regain their skills, memories, and motor functions and nearly fully resemble normal humans.

In 1889, the site that would become Perfection Valley is home to the town of Rejection Valley. The inhabitants are completely dependent on the income from a nearby silver mine, when a hot spring causes Graboid eggs to hatch, resulting in the death of 17 miners. The mine's owner is Hiram Gummer, great-grandfather of Burt Gummer (Michael Gross). Hiram is a direct opposite of his descendant: he is a cold, lofty, well-mannered businessman with no experience in weapons or in any physical activity whatsoever (except bicycle riding, which quickly proves useless on the harsh terrain). He arrives in town to fix the problem, but finds he is in way over his head dealing with the larvae-like Graboids, which the town has dubbed "Dirt Dragons", when they attack his camp one night. One of his companions, Juan, kills one with a pick-axe, and the group barely gets away.

Nuvo hangs out with a group of pals who have an inordinate interest in getting high, and like his buddies he's always interested in the next new chemical to come along. Nuvo and his friends Swatch, Chad, Theo and Ping. have heard about a new drug called the Helix, but while they'd like to give it a try, word on the street is that it has rather unpredictable effects—used properly, it can give its users deep enlightenment, but a bad trip can literally cause you to lose your mind. Nuvo's interest in the Helix is more philosophical than recreational, and he falls in with two mysterious figures, Infiniti and Orpheum, who are searching for The Other One—a person who can break through to a new level of understanding while tripping on the Helix.
