Ed Love is a Story and Animation American born on 24 may 1910
Edward H. Love dit Ed Love (24 mai 1910, Pennsylvanie - 6 mai 1996, Valencia, Californie) était un animateur américain ayant travaillé dans plusieurs studios dont les studios Disney.
En 1942, il quitte le studio Disney pour travailler auprès de Tex Avery pour la Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer puis Walter Lantz.
Il interromps sa carrière entre 1949 et 1960. Il essaye alors de travailler avec Chuck Couch mais dès 1961, il intègre le studio Hanna-Barbera. Il travaille alors sur plusieurs séries dont Les Pierrafeu, Les Jetson et Roquet belles oreilles. Dans les années 1980, on le retrouve sur la série Les Schtroumpfs
Dans les années 1990, il change de studio. Il travaille chez DIC sur plusieurs épisodes de la série Les Aventures de Sonic (1993-1996).
Il décède en 1996.
À la fin des années 1990 il est crédité d'une participation à Fantasia 2000 (1999) en raison de la réutilisation de la séquence de l'Apprenti Sorcier de Fantasia.

Biography
Après avoir débuté aux studios Disney dans les années 1930, il participe à de nombreux projets d'importance comme le développement de la couleur sur Des arbres et des fleurs (1932) ou l'animation de Mickey Mouse dans Fantasia (1940). Il travaille tout d'abord sur les Silly Symphonies en couleurs jusqu'en 1933 puis à partir de 1937 on le retrouve sur les séries de Mickey Mouse et Donald Duck.En 1942, il quitte le studio Disney pour travailler auprès de Tex Avery pour la Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer puis Walter Lantz.

Donald Duck is portrayed as a hobo, walking along railroad tracks singing She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain. He smells tasty things, and follows the scent to a log cabin which, unfortunately, is the home of Peg-Leg Pete. While Pete is trying to enjoy lunch, Donald steals all the food off of Pete's table, which makes Pete angry. Pete then hands Donald a stick of dynamite which Donald takes, thinking it is food; it blows up on him. Pete (in a French-Canadian accent) tells Donald that if he wants food he'll have to work as a lumberjack for Pete. Pete hands Donald an axe, which is so heavy it pushes Donald into the trunk of a tree. In an attempt to get out of the job, Donald breaks the axe with a stone and shows it to Pete, but Pete simply responds by putting the blade on a piece of wood and hitting it, creating a new handle. Donald ends up swinging the axe so hard it breaks the blade off, which goes over Pete and cuts off part of his pants. Deciding that it is too hard to work with an old-fashioned axe, Donald uses a crosscut saw which he finds in a tree trunk and begins using it instead.

Lawrence Talbot (Lon Chaney, Jr.) is making an urgent call from London to a Florida railway station where Chick Young (Bud Abbott) and Wilbur Grey (Lou Costello) work as baggage clerks. Wilbur answers the phone and Talbot tries to impart to him the danger of a shipment due to arrive for the "McDougal House Of Horrors" (a local wax museum) which purportedly contains the actual bodies of Count Dracula (Béla Lugosi) and the Frankenstein Monster (Glenn Strange). However, before he is able to warn Wilbur, a full moon rises and Talbot transforms into a werewolf, who proceeds to destroy his apartment while Wilbur is on the line. Wilbur, thinking the call is just a prank, hangs up and continues on with his work day. Immediately thereafter, the actual Mr. McDougal (Frank Ferguson) shows up to claim the shipments and, fearing them damaged when Wilbur and Chick mishandle them, demands that the crates be delivered in person so his insurance agent can inspect them.

Ce dessin animé est une parodie de l'histoire bien connue des Trois Petits Cochons, produit dans le ton de la propagande anti-nazis de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Dans ce dessin animé, les cochons partent en guerre contre Adolf le Loup (sous les traits d’Adolf Hitler), qui menace d'envahir Cochonland (Pigmania dans la version américaine). Mickey décide d'organiser un gala pour les orphelins. Donald récite alors 2 poèmes, mais au deuxième, un enfant fait le bruit de buzzer "non" à la première question du poème : « Avez-vous vu un bérêt bleu ? ». Donald s'énerve et est chassé de la scène. Les enfants rient et s'amusent comme des fous. Un numéro de danse commence alors avec Horace, Clarabelle Cow et Dingo. Le numéro se termine quand Clarabelle perd sa tenue, à cause d'une mauvaise réception de Dingo. Donald revient et imite le bruit du buzzer comme les enfants avec une trompette. Les enfants rient de plus belle. Il se reçoit une glace lancée par un orphelin et se prend des coups avec des gants de boxe et finit chassé, complètement sonné. Le numéro suivant est un air d'opéra chanté par Clara Cluck. Mickey l'accompagne au piano, qui s'emmêle les doigts. Un orphelin vise Clara Cluck avec une fronde, qui hurle et qui conclut son chant. Mickey et Clara Cluck saluent la foule (les enfants les ovationnent). Donald réapparaît. Il demande d'être applaudi (les enfants se tournent les pouces). Il ne l'est pas et commence à raconter un conte. Les enfants lui disent de partir. Donald s'énerve. Les enfants lui larguent des briques et des œufs avec des ballons qu'ils font exploser, à l'aide d'une fronde, quand ils sont au-dessus de Donald. Le rideau tombe.
