Ernie Grunwald (born in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian-born actor who has had made guest appearances in a number of notable television series. He has also had recurring roles on, One on One, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (as Mr. Forgess, Series 2 Episode 22), and Two of a Kind opposite Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. He has also guest starred on, Friends, My Name Is Earl, NYPD Blue, Reno 911!, ANT Farm, Walker, Texas Ranger, Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, The Mentalist and many other series. He has also had roles in the feature films, Cellular, It Takes Two, Men in Black II, and Stealing Harvard. He guest starred as a restaurant manager in Monk ("Mr. Monk's 100th Case") and as a bumbling government official in Psych ("Death is In the Air"). He also made a cameo appearance in the 1992 Disney film The Mighty Ducks as a fan.

Grunwald is currently starring with Jason Priestley in Call Me Fitz.

The Duncan family plans to go to Amy's parents' new condo in Palm Springs, California for Christmas. However, they are separated on route when Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) makes a snap decision to give up her airline seat for a free ticket to prove to her parents she can go to Florida for her spring break with her best friend Ivy (Raven Goodwin). Unwilling to let her daughter travel alone, Amy (Leigh-Allyn Baker) also disembarks the plane, only to discover that the next flight to Palm Springs departs after Christmas. Meanwhile, the rest of the family arrives in Palm Springs, but things aren’t any easier as Bob (Eric Allan Kramer) tries to care for Charlie (Mia Talerico) under the watchful eye of Amy’s mother Petunia (Debra Monk), who strongly dislikes Bob and blames him for Charlie's mischief; PJ (Jason Dolley) learns the pros and cons of his grandparents' pool after getting a sunburn; and Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry) quickly realizes the downfalls of teaching Grandpa Hank (Michael Kagan) how to play his favorite video game, Galaxy of Death, after Hank becomes addicted to it.

This film takes place during the events of Get Smart. Bruce and Lloyd have been testing out an invisibility cloak, but during a party, Maraguayan agent Isabelle steals it for El Presidente. The film opens with Jessica Martin (Kim Basinger), a high school biology teacher, talking to her son Ricky while dropping him to the school bus. After she returns home, assailants enter her home through the back door, kill her housemaid, kidnap her, and confine her in the attic of their safe house. Ethan Greer (Jason Statham), the gang leader, smashes the attic's telephone to prevent her from contacting anyone. She has no idea who the kidnappers are or what they want. She pieces together the wires of the broken phone and randomly makes a connection. She reaches the cell phone of Ryan (Chris Evans), who has just been dumped by his girlfriend, Chloe (Jessica Biel), for being irresponsible. He believes the call is a joke, but Jessica persuades him to go to the police. At the police station, Desk Sergeant Mooney (William H. Macy) tells him to go to the detectives on the fourth floor. He begins to lose the signal in the stairwell, so he turns back to avoid losing the connection. Meanwhile, Ethan returns to the safe house and asks Jessica about something she doesn't know. When Jessica tells him that she doesn't know, he tells her that he is going to get her son.
