Hidenobu Kiuchi (木内 秀信, Kiuchi Hidenobu, born February 5, 1969 in Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture) is a Japanese voice actor. Some of his major roles include Yūshi Oshitari in The Prince of Tennis, Kenzo Tenma in Monster, Ren Honjo in Nana, Hei in Darker Than Black, and Dad (Mr Yamada) in Chi's Sweet Home. He began as a stage actor when one of his seniors got him to do voice acting. He has taken lead roles such as Jose in Gunslinger Girl and Ramsbeckite Hematite in Cluster Edge. In 2008, he was the first Japanese voice actor to guest at an anime convention in Australia.

Le film se passe en 2026, 4 ans après la sortie du Nerve Gear, un casque qui permet de guider un avatar dans un monde virtuel. Une nouvelle machine qui se veut concurrente au Nerve Gear, l'Augma vient d'être développé et son principe ne repose pas sur le full dive, mais sur la réalité augmentée pour immerger les joueurs dans le jeu. Il est sécurisé, ergonomique et laisse les utilisateurs l'utiliser quand ils sont conscients, il bat les records du Nerve Gear. Un des jeux proposés se nomme « Ordinal Scale », un jeu de rôle massivement multijoueur en réalité augmentée (abrégé en ARMMORPG). Asuna et ses amis y jouent depuis un moment, mais quand Kirito décide de les rejoindre, ils vont se rendre compte que le jeu n'est pas aussi amusant qu'il en a l'air, notamment à cause d'anciens directeurs de SAO qui ont décidé de saboter le jeu.

The movie begins with Killua dreaming about his brother Illumi's warning to never make friends, claiming that eventually he will betray or get betrayed by them. He wakes up along Gon on an airship. Upon arriving at their destination, they meet Leorio and learn that he and Kurapika were investigating a rumor about a survivor of Kurapika's Kuruta Clan until they meet a young boy whom Kurapika recognized as his childhood friend Pyro, who attacks him and steals his eyes. Uncounscious since then, Kurapika awakens beside the others and soon after he has visions through his stolen eyes of a man whose right palm is marked with a spider tattoo, the same used by the members of the Phantom Troupe.

The movie begins with a young girl, Julia Crichton, waking up from a dream about the day her family was forcibly taken from her home by soldiers beside her older brother Ashley, who is currently studying their parents' alchemy books. Ashley then shows his sister some pages and explains that with the alchemy in the book, he hopes to make a world that no one's seen before. Soon after discovering two strange rubbed-out pages, the siblings hear some strange noises and Ashley goes ahead to investigate, but a worried Julia follows to a room where she finds the bodies of her parents hung up and dripping blood. She watches in horror as her brother is attacked and presumably murdered to which she faints.
