Nancy Anne Allen (born June 24, 1950) is an American actress and cancer activist best known for her roles in the films Carrie (1976), RoboCop (1987), and Dressed to Kill (1980), the latter of which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
Allen began an acting and modelling career as a child, and from the mid-1970s appeared in small film roles, most notably the anchor of Robert Zemeckis's ensemble comedy I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978) and in Steven Spielberg's 1979 comedy 1941. A pivotal supporting role in Carrie (1976) brought her recognition, and after marrying the director Brian De Palma, she appeared in several of his films, including Dressed to Kill (1980) and Blow Out (1981). Her subsequent films include Strange Invaders (1983), The Philadelphia Experiment (1984), Poltergeist III (1988), Limit Up (1990), Out of Sight (1998), and the RoboCop trilogy.

Elle souffre de claustrophobie et a eu une violente crise sur le tournage de Blow Out dans la séquence de l'accident où son personnage se trouve dans une voiture qui tombe dans un lac. Elle devait entrer dans un cube transparent lui-même placé dans la voiture qui se remplissait d'eau. Brian De Palma, avait tout d'abord proposé de la faire remplacer par une doublure mais Nancy Allen a tenu à jouer la scène elle-même. « Pâle comme la mort, » elle a commencé à pleurer et à paniquer totalement lorsqu'il lui a été demandé d'entrer dans le cube. Une dispute a éclaté entre elle et De Palma et il a annoncé qu'il tournerait la scène d'une autre manière. Entendant cela, Nancy Allen est alors entrée dans le cube et la scène a pu être tournée.
Elle est connue pour le rôle de l'officier Anne Lewis dans Robocop.

The film opens with John (Jonathan Wade Drahos) regaining consciousness in a restroom stall at "The Red Party." He stares at himself in the mirror and flashes back to when he was a small-town cop from Illinois who moved to Los Angeles, hoping to find a more welcoming environment. He temporarily moves in with his cousin Tad (Daniel Kucan), who is living with his suddenly ex-boyfriend Gill (Brian Lane Green) and Tad's new boyfriend Julian (Darryl Stephens). Tad is a filmmaker, shooting a documentary on circuit parties and Julian DJs at the parties. Gill takes John to a party in the Hollywood hills, where he meets Hector (Andre Khabbazi), a hustler who is battling mounting insecurities over his looks and age as he is about to turn 30. In The Man Who Wouldn't Die art imitates life for Thomas Grace (Roger Moore), a famous British ex-novelist who wrote a series of acclaimed crime stories featuring a villain patterned after real-life criminal Bernard Drake (Malcolm McDowell).
