Emily Fitzroy (24 May 1860, London - 3 March 1954, Gardena, California) was an English film actress who eventually became an American citizen. She made her film debut in 1915 and retired in 1944, with exactly 100 films to her resume.

Biography

Emily Fitzroy entame sa carrière d'actrice au théâtre et, installée aux États-Unis, joue notamment à Broadway (New York) entre 1912 et 1922, dans six pièces et une comédie musicale.

Au cinéma, de 1913 à 1944, elle contribue à une centaine de films (américains surtout, plus quelques-uns britanniques), dont une soixantaine muets.

New York newspaper reporter Wally Cook (Fredric March) is blamed for passing off an ordinary African-American (Troy Brown) as an African nobleman hosting a charity event (despite his claims of not knowing this was false).
